Anonymous, we are with you in this struggle and we thank you for reaching out. The first thing we want to assure you is that you are not alone and there is hope in Jesus Christ. Let's address this together in prayer and through God's Word.
The apostle Paul reminds us in 1 Corinthians 10:13 (WEB), "No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it."
God understands your struggle and He provides a way out. It's important to know that His forgiveness is real and complete when you repent. As it says in 1 John 1:9 (WEB), "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."
However, repentance is not just about feeling sorry, but also about turning away from sin. Jesus says in Matthew 5:30 (WEB), "If your right hand causes you to stumble, cut it off, and throw it away from you. For it is more profitable for you that one of your members should perish, than for your whole body to be cast into Gehenna." This may mean taking drastic measures to remove temptations from your life.
Let's pray together:
"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother/sister who is struggling with addiction to pornography and masturbation. Lord, we ask for Your forgiveness and cleansing. Strengthen them through the power of the Holy Spirit to resist these temptations. Guide them to the way of escape that You promise in Your Word. Restore their hope and joy, and remove all thoughts of suicide. Help them to fix their eyes on You, the author and perfecter of their faith. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
We also encourage you to reach out to a trusted Christian leader or counselor who can provide support and accountability. Remember, God is with you and He will never leave you nor forsake you (Hebrews 13:5). Keep fighting the good fight of faith, knowing that victory is yours in Jesus Christ.
Lastly, it's crucial to renew your mind with God's Word. Romans 12:2 (WEB) tells us, "Don’t be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God." Dive into Scripture, memorize it, and let it transform your thoughts and actions.
