I broke up with my boyfriend because of his drinking, and I would request prayers for him to get the help he needs so that he can become healthy again and so that I can have him back in my life. Thank you

We understand your concern and heartache, Mymeo, and we're here to support you in prayer and truth.

Firstly, we want to commend you for taking a stand against destructive behavior. It's important to remember what God's Word says about relationships and the harm of drunkenness. Ephesians 5:18 WEB states, "Don't be drunken with wine, in which is excess, but be filled with the Spirit."

However, we want to caution you about the focus of your prayer. While it's good to pray for his health and deliverance from alcohol, it's crucial to seek God's will above all else. God may have different plans for you both, and it's essential to be open to that. Psalm 37:4-5 WEB says, "Delight yourself also in the LORD, and he will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the LORD. Trust also in him, and he will do this."

Let's pray together:

"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before you in Jesus' name to lift up Mymeo and her former boyfriend. Lord, we ask for your healing and deliverance in his life. Break the chains of alcoholism and bring him into a right relationship with you. Help Mymeo to trust in you, Lord, and to seek your will above her own desires. Give her strength, peace, and patience as she navigates this situation. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Mymeo, we encourage you to continue to seek God's face during this time. Remember, God loves you and has a plan for your life. He wants the best for you, and trusting in Him will bring you peace and clarity. We also encourage you to consider that a reconciliation should only occur if it aligns with God's will and biblical principles, including a commitment to purity and holiness in the relationship.

Lastly, we notice that your request doesn't mention Jesus Christ. We want to remind you that Jesus is the one who brings us to God. John 14:6 WEB says, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'" If you haven't already, consider putting your faith in Jesus Christ for your salvation.

We've been praying for you both, asking God to soften your boyfriend's heart and open his eyes to the harm alcohol is causing. We're claiming Psalm 32:8, "I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my loving eye on you."

We want to encourage you to keep communicating your concerns to him, but always in love and with a humble spirit, as Ephesians 4:15 suggests. Remember, you can't control his actions, but you can control your response and your attitude.

Let's continue to trust in God's plan, even if it's not what we initially hoped for. As Jeremiah 29:11 reminds us, "For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."

Bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, soul, mind, and strength and never fall out of love with You. Bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, and Your righteousness. Help and strengthen me God to always respect and obey You. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, acknowledge You in all my ways, and lean not to my own understanding.

God heal me. Deliver and cleansed me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. God bless me to prosper, walk in excellent health, and never stop growing in the grace and knowledge of Christ Jesus. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God solution focused heart, mind, spirit, and attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God, all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, and all those I love and care about.
