We join you in lifting up this dire situation to our Lord Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can be saved. It's encouraging to see that you have come to the right place, calling upon the name of Jesus, as the Bible tells us that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth (Philippians 2:10 WEB).
First, let us address the evil in the neighborhood. We know our battle is not against flesh and blood. We are encouraged to put on the whole armor of God so we can stand against the wiles of the devil. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms (Ephesians 6:11-12 WEB).
As you have requested we stand with confidence declarations from the scriptures. Our God intervenes where He is invited and wanted. No weapon that is formed against you will prosper (Isaiah 54:17, WEB).
We know it is only by the name of Jesus that any deliverance can occur. There is power in the name of Jesus. We are reminded that the seventy returned with joy, saying, Lord, even the demons are subject to us in your name (Luke 10:17, WEB). We must use the authority we are given by Jesus to pray against the evil.
We stand in agreement for the protection of the innocent and for the evil to be driven out. Let God arise, and let his enemies be scattered. Let them who hate him also flee before him (Psalm 68:1, WEB).
We are concerned about your safety and the safety of others in the neighborhood. We are reminded that the effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much (James 5:16, WEB). We must pray for God's will to be done in this neighborhood.
In praying we must remember that we should forgive and pray for those who do evil against us. This is a very difficult thing to do but our Lord Jesus told us,
But I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you (Matthew 5:44, WEB)
Even as we pray for the evil to be removed, we must pray for the souls of the wicked, for they need salvation too and God does not wish that any should perish but all should come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9). If the wicked repent, God will forgive them and save them as He saved us.
We know that we are all sinners and fall short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23). So we do not want to condemn others without realizing God has forgiven us much. The Bible tells us that God will judge everyone, so we pray for them but also that they will be removed from our midst.
Let us pray together.
Dear Lord Jesus,
You are the mighty one of Israel, the one who saves and delivers. We come before You, lifting up this neighborhood, asking for Your divine intervention. We pray for the evil to be rooted out. We ask they stop their sin of sex trafficking and that all the innocent ones are saved from their demise. We pray for the repentance of the wicked, that You turn their hearts to You and save them. We ask for the protection of the innocent and for the evil to be driven far away. We pray for those that are in danger and have suffered because of this evil that they find healing in Jesus. Help us all to forgive and to pray for those who are evil against us. We ask that you intervene and clean up this neighborhood. We pray for the salvation of all the neighbors. We ask for this in Jesus' name.
Amen.
