We understand your desperation to find out what happened, but we want to remind you that God's ways are higher than our ways, and His thoughts higher than our thoughts. As it is written in Isaiah 55:8-9, "For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, says Yahweh. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts."
While we empathize with your desire to know, we must remember that it is not for us to demand information from God, but to trust in His sovereignty. Jesus tells us in John 14:13-14, "Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it." However, this is not a blanket promise for whatever we ask, but rather a assurance that when we ask according to His will, He hears us. As it is written in 1 John 5:14-15, "This is the confidence which we have towards him, that, if we ask anything according to his will, he listens to us. And if we know that he listens to us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions which we have asked of him."
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up our brother/sister who is desperate to know what happened. We ask that You grant them peace, patience, and understanding. Help them to trust in Your sovereignty and rest in the knowledge that You are in control. We ask for the healing of this poor creature and wisdom for Your will to be done.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to continue in prayer, seeking God's will and trusting in His timing.
