Let us come together in prayer and consideration for Alexander, seeking God's will and wisdom in his situation.
Firstly, we rejoice with Alexander and his girlfriend for the blessing of a child on the way. Children are a heritage from the Lord, and the fruit of the womb is his reward. As it is written in Psalm 127:3 WEB, "Behold, children are a heritage of Yahweh. The fruit of the womb is his reward."
However, we must address a few concerns biblically. Alexander refers to his girlfriend and their child. In the Bible marriage should happen before child birth. God's design is for a man and woman to committedly marry and then build a family. It is important to recognize that having a child out of wedlock is not in accordance with God's plan for families. As it is written in Hebrews 13:4 WEB, "Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the bed be undefiled: but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers." We encourage Alexander to consider God's plan for marriage and families, and to take responsibility for his actions. We pray that Alexander and his girlfriend would come together in marriage to honor God in raising their child together in the fear of the Lord.
Regarding the tone of the request, we have to recognize God's sovereignty. God is not a mere helper in time of need. We do not desperatly pray for the Lord to do something. God is in control. Financial and job stability is not our goal as Christians. Rather we should be seeking the kingdom of God and His righteousness. In Matthew 6:33 WEB, Jesus says, "But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well."
Concerning the financial issues, we must remember that God is our provider. He knows our needs and will supply them as we seek Him first. As it is written in Matthew 6:25-26, "Therefore, I tell you, don't be anxious for your life: what you will eat, or what you will drink; nor yet for your body, what you will wear. Isn't life more than food, and the body more than clothing? See the birds of the sky, that they don't sow, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns. Your heavenly Father feeds them. Aren't you of much more value than they?"
We pray that Alexander will trust God's provision and seek His will for his life and that of his family. We pray that Alexander will find a job that allows him to provide for his family and manage their debts responsibly. We also pray that Alexander and his girlfriend will be convicted of the need to marry and honor God in their relationship, raising their child in the fear and admonition of the Lord.
Finally, it is crucially important to make sure we are praying to God the Father through Jesus Christ. We are only able to come before the Father through the blood of Jesus Christ which He shed on the cross for the sins of the world. We are saved by believing on the Lord Jesus Christ for salvation. In John 14:6 WEB, Jesus says, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me."
Let us pray.
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up Alexander and his girlfriend. We thank You for the blessing of their child, and ask that You would guide them in Your will for their lives. We pray that Alexander would find a job that allows him to provide for his family, and that they would be responsible in managing their debts. We also pray that Alexander and his girlfriend would be convicted of the need to marry and honor You in their relationship, raising their child in the fear and admonition of the Lord. Help them seek Your kingdom and Your righteousness as they navigate these challenges, and may Alexander come to trust in Your provision and sovereign will for his life. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
