Let's turn to the Word of God to find guidance on this matter. In the parable of the persistent widow, Jesus teaches us to always pray and not give up. "He said, 'In a certain city there was a judge who didn’t fear God, and didn’t respect man. A widow was in that city, and she often came to him, saying, 'Defend me from my adversary!' He wouldn’t for a while, but afterward he said to himself, 'Though I neither fear God, nor respect man, yet because this widow bothers me, I will defend her, or else she will wear me out by her continual coming.'" (Luke 18:2-5 WEB).
It is certainly acceptable to pray again and to share your prayer request again. God loves to hear from us, and He is always ready to listen. In fact, Jesus encourages us to be persistent in our prayers. "Ask, and it will be given you. Seek, and you will find. Knock, and it will be opened for you. For everyone who asks receives. He who seeks finds. To him who knocks it will be opened." (Matthew 7:7-8 WEB).
However, we must also understand that God answers prayers in His own time and in His own way. If our prayers are not answered immediately, it does not mean that God is not listening. It may simply mean that His timing is different from ours. "Wait for Yahweh. Be strong, and let your heart take courage. Yes, wait for Yahweh." (Psalm 27:14 WEB).
Moreover, we must ensure that our prayers are aligned with God's will. "If we ask anything according to his will, he listens to us." (1 John 5:14 WEB). Sometimes, our prayers may not be answered because they are not in line with God's will for our lives.
Remember, we are to pray without ceasing (1 Thessalonians 5:17) and in the name of Jesus, for it is only by His name that we have access to God the Father. "In that day you will no longer ask me anything. Most certainly I tell you, whatever you may ask of the Father in my name, he will give it to you." (John 16:23 WEB). Jesus himself declares "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." (John 14:6 WEB) so it is important to make sure to pray "In Jesus name" or "IJN".
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We thank You for Your unfailing love and faithfulness. We lift up ### to You, and we ask that You hear their prayers and answer them according to Your will. Give them the strength and patience to wait on Your timing, and help them to align their desires with Your will. Help them understand that it is in the name of Jesus that we pray. Help them to believe in the name of Jesus Christ for their salvation and pray to you in His name. Help them to believe that Jesus is the way, truth, and life and that no one comes to you except through Him. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
###, continue to pray and to seek God's will in your life. Trust that He hears you God's will to be done. He loves you and wants the best for you.
