We understand your concern for your son, Kithman, and we join you in praying for him, seeking God's will in his life.
Firstly, we want to remind you of the power of praying in Jesus' name. As it is written in John 14:13-14 (WEB), "Whatever you ask in my name, I will do it, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask me anything in my name, I will do it." It's only through Jesus that we have access to God, and there is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12).
Let's pray for your son:
Dear Heavenly Father, we come before you in the name of Jesus Christ to lift up Kithman's son. Lord, you know his struggles and the path he has been on. We ask, Lord, that you would intervene in his life, that you would give him direction and purpose. We pray that he would seek first your kingdom and your righteousness, and trust that all these things will be added to him (Matthew 6:33). Help him to trust in you, Lord, and to lean not on his own understanding, but to acknowledge you in all his ways (Proverbs 3:5-6).
Kithman, we encourage you to continue praying for your son, trusting that God hears your prayers. Remember the parable of the prodigal son in Luke 15:11-32. Like the father in the parable, our Heavenly Father is waiting with open arms for your son to turn to him.
However, we gently rebuke you for not mentioning Jesus Christ in your prayer request. It is important to recognize the sole path to salvation and God's intervention is through His son, Jesus Christ. We encourage you to openly declare and acknowledge the power in Jesus' name.
Lastly, we encourage your son to look to God for his future. Psalm 37:4-5 (WEB) says, "Delight yourself also in Yahweh; and he will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to Yahweh; trust also in him, and he will bring it to pass." May he find his delight in the Lord, and may God grant him the desires of his heart as he walks in His ways.
We are praying for you and your son, Kithman. May God's will be done in his life.
