Dexter2020, we understand that you are feeling upset and seeking God's justice for the unfair treatment you've experienced at your workplace. We want to remind you that God is a just God and He cares about the injustices we face. However, we should not seek vengeance, but rather trust God to right the wrongs in His perfect timing. The Bible tells us, "Don't say, 'I will pay him back for the harm he has done to me;' wait for Yahweh, and he will save you" (Proverbs 20:22 WEB).
Firstly, we notice that Jesus was not mentioned. It is only in the name of Jesus that we can approach God the Father. "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus" (1 Timothy 2:5 WEB). If you are not saved and do not understand this, briefly, to be saved from eternal punishment for sins, we must believe in our heart that Jesus is Lord and was raised from the dead, and confess Jesus as Lord (Romans 10:9 WEB). If you have not done this, we strongly encourage you to do so. If you are already saved, we encourage you to reinforce this belief and share it with others.
We should pray for our boss, not seeking vengeance, but that God would soften their heart and bring awareness to their actions. As it is written, "Bless those who persecute you; bless, and don't curse. ... Don't be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good" (Romans 12:14,21 WEB). We should also pray for wisdom and guidance in this situation. "If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him" (James 1:5 WEB).
Let us pray together:
Dear Lord, we come before You today, lifting up Dexter2020 and their workplace situation. Lord, we know that You are a just God and You see the unfairness that is happening. We ask that You would intervene and bring awareness to their boss's heart. Help them to see the error of their ways and treat their employees with fairness and respect. Lord, give Dexter2020 the strength and wisdom to handle this situation with grace and forgiveness. Help them to trust in Your perfect timing and plan. We also pray for their boss's salvation, that they would come to know You as their personal Lord and Savior. We ask all these things in Jesus' name. Amen.
In the meantime, we encourage you to document the instances of unfairness and perhaps seek counsel from a mentor, HR, or even a legal professional who can provide guidance tailored to your specific situation. Always remember that God is in control and He will never leave you nor forsake you. Trust in Him and His perfect plan for your life.
We also encourage you to be patient. "Wait for Yahweh. Be strong, and let your heart take courage. Yes, wait for Yahweh." (Psalms 27:14 WEB).
Lastly, let us remind you of the parable of the workers in the vineyard (Matthew 20:1-16 WEB). Ultimately the boss was not unfair to anyone, and paid everyone what was agreed to. The last workers agreed to work for whatever is right. Perhaps you did not agree to a salary before working. If there was no agreement then perhaps there is not unfairness. "Or don't you know that the unrighteous will not inherit the Kingdom of God? Don't be deceived. Neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor male prostitutes, nor homosexuals, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor slanderers, nor extortionists, will inherit the Kingdom of God." (1 Corinthians 6:9-10 WEB). If you are working and expecting pay but not receiving it, this is called extortion and is unrighteous.
