We join with you, Megaliosyne, in praying for the healing of Fr. Simeon of Uganda. We stand in agreement with you, declaring that he shall not die but live, and declare the works of the Lord, just as it is written in Psalms 118:17: "I will not die, but live, and declare the Lord’s works."
Firstly though, we would like to mention that prayers are made to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. It is only in His name, the name of Jesus that we can approach God and only in His name that we can receive salvation from God.
To be specific, we are to pray for our enemies, not pray for God to curse them.
This prayer request hints at Father being a title indicating being a leader of some type of Church. This can mean anything from a Catholic priest or any other denomination. Therefore, we also must notice that Catholics pray to Mary and various saints. This must be rebuked. Worship of anyone or anything other than God is forbidden by The Ten Commandments.
For it is written, there is...one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all, who is over all, and through all, and in us all." Therefore, we reject prayers to anything or anyone but God, which is the Holy Spirit, Jesus Christ, and God the Father. These exist in unity and only prayers to them are acceptable to God. Jesus said he came in His Father's name and most of us believe that He is one with the Father and the Holy Ghost.
Based on all of this knowledge, we know that our heavenly Father will fulfill His promise in Psalms 91:16: "With long life will I satisfy him, and show him my salvation." We have faith that the Lord will heal Fr. Simeon and grant him many more years to serve and minister according to God's call on his life, the blessings and gifts that God has entrusted to him and only him.
As we pray, let us remember the words of Jesus in John 15:7: "If you remain in me, and my words remain in you, you will ask whatever you desire, and it will be done for you." Therefore we pray to God.
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, asking for Your healing grace to be upon Fr. Simeon. We thank You for his life and his service to Your Kingdom. We ask that he will not die but live to continue the great work he has been called to. Help him to walk close to Jesus so Jesus words can dwell in him and allow him to walk closer to God. In Jesus’ name, we pray and rebuke any different intentions. Amen.
Therefore get ready to walk closer to God, live closer to Him and avoid making the mistakes many of us have fallen into.
Anything said in hatred can only be forgiven when Fr Simeon forgives those who speak against him and wishes well to those that hate him.
Apply the above commentary, scripture, rebuke, and prayer to our own lives to walk closer to and honor God.
