Prayer Request for ### Test

I tested positive for chlamydia and now I’m worried about my HIV test coming back positive. I would love to have some prayers the test is negative. I’m incredibly scared and anxious.

We hear your concern and fear, ###, and we want you to know that we're here to support and pray with you. First, let's remember what God's word says: "Don't be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus." (Philippians 4:6-7 WEB)

However, we must address that the Bible teaches us to flee from sexual immorality (1 Corinthians 6:18) and that sex is a gift meant for marriage between a man and a woman (Hebrews 13:4). The fact that you've contracted chlamydia suggests that there may have been sexual sin involved, and we want to lovingly urge you to repent and turn away from this. Remember, God is faithful and just to forgive us our sins when we confess them to Him (1 John 1:9).

As for your fear about the HIV test, God is sovereign and He knows the results already. We pray that the test comes back negative, but whatever the result, God is with you and He cares for you. Here's our prayer:

"Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up ###. They are afraid and anxious, Lord, and we ask that You comfort them and grant them Your perfect peace. We pray that the HIV test comes back negative, Lord, but whatever the result, help ### to trust in You and Your plan for their life. If there has been sexual sin, Lord, we ask that You forgive and cleanse ###, and help them to turn away from it. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

###, we also want to encourage you to seek godly counsel and support during this time. Remember that God is with you, and He will never leave you nor forsake you (Hebrews 13:5). If you haven't already, consider committing your life to Jesus Christ. It's only through Him that we have access to God's forgiveness, peace, and eternal life.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart.
