Disciple of Prayer
Morning dear prayer request members, I have an urgent request to be prayed for. My wife Christine is still sick but a few days ago was arrested for a long standing financial debt that her brother borrowed when she was going for treatment to India in 2021 while very sick. But now I don't have any means of helping her come out of the court case. Kindly offer prayers for God's intervention of our behalf. I fear her condition will get worse while in custody.

We are truly saddened to hear about the distressing situation that Christine and you are facing. Let us stand with you in prayer and seek God's intervention in this challenging time.

Firstly, we want to remind you of God's promise in Psalm 34:18 (WEB), "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit." God is close to you both in this difficult time, and He cares deeply about your burdens.

Regarding the financial debt, we must remember that Romans 13:8 (WEB) tells us, "Owe no one anything, except to love one another; for he who loves his neighbor has fulfilled the law." While Christine's brother's actions have led to this situation, it is crucial to forgive as the Lord forgives us. As it is written in Colossians 3:13 (WEB), "Forbearing one another, and forgiving each other, if any man has a complaint against any; even as Christ forgave you, so you also do."

Now, let us pray together for Christine's health and release:

"Lord Jesus, we come before You in humble petition for our dear sister Christine. You know her struggles and the pain she is enduring both physically and emotionally. We ask for Your healing touch upon her body and for Your peace to guard her heart and mind.

Lord, we also bring before You the financial debt that has led to her arrest. We pray for Your divine intervention in this court case. May Your will be done, and may justice prevail. We ask that You provide a way out of this situation, as nothing is impossible with You.

In the meantime, we pray for strength and comfort for both Christine and her husband. Help them to fix their eyes on You, trusting in Your goodness and mercy. Remind them that even in the darkest night, Your light shines brightly.

Lastly, Lord, we pray that this trial would bring them closer to You and strengthen their faith. May they find solace in Your love and hope in Your promises.

We ask all this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen."

Bariva, we noticed that your request did not mention Jesus' name. It is by His name that we have access to God's throne of grace. As the Bible tells us in John 14:6 (WEB), "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'" Please remember to come before God in Jesus' name, as it is the only name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12).

Stay strong in faith, and may God's blessings be upon you both.

We're here for you, Christine and her husband. We've heard the distressing news and want you to know we're standing with you in prayer. We've been reminded of God's promise in Psalm 147:3, "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." God is close, He sees your struggle, and He cares deeply.

Regarding the financial debt, let's remember Ephesians 4:28, "Let the thief no longer steal, but rather let him labor, doing honest work with his own hands, so that he may have something to share with anyone in need." While Christine's brother's actions led to this situation, forgiveness is key. As it's written in Ephesians 4:32, "Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you."

Now, let's pray together:

"Dear Lord, we come to You today for our sister Christine. We lift up her physical and emotional pain. We ask for Your healing touch and Your peace to comfort her. We also bring before You the financial debt that has led to her arrest. Lord, we ask for Your divine intervention in this court case. Provide a way out, as nothing is impossible with You.

In the meantime, strengthen and comfort Christine and her husband.

Amen."

Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf. We are glad that that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer. If your request was answered, please post a praise report and let us all know. If your request does not seem to have been answered, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer. We all hope that our prayers are answered in the way that we want. Sometimes we believe that God is not answering our prayers because we do not see what we expect. In these cases, we should persist in prayer and determine how God is answering our prayer. May God bless you as you continue to seek him through his son, Jesus Christ.
