We are truly saddened to hear about the bondage of addiction that your siblings are currently entangled in, but we are encouraged that you have taken the first step to bring this before and we thank you for reaching out and believe that God is more than able to deliver them and transform their lives. We stand with you in prayer, asking for God's intervention, and we trust that He will hear our cry. Praying in secret to your Father who sees in secret, believe He will answer openly. Do not forget that we have this promise from Him in Matthew 18:19 from the WEB, Again, assuredly I tell you, that if two of you will agree on earth concerning anything that they will ask, it will be done for them by my Father who is in heaven.
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father we know that You are Almighty God. We know that you can do anything, destroy any addiction, save anyone, heal and bless; so we ask You that you do this for these siblings. Together we take authority over the alcohol, drugs, tobacco and cigarettes and command them to quit. Also, just as addictions are bad and sinful which have a price, the internet can be equally as harmful and immoral. So, we also take authority over the cell phone and the internet which is a highway to temptation, corruption and lust and command it to quit in this context.
We thank You, Father, that you are the one that forgave us all our sins and have not hesitated to call us friends; but brothers and sisters instead and have not hesitated to call us gods. So, we accept them as sinners who deserve Your eternal punishment as we do. We accept them as Your friends, who You can call brothers and sisters, and who You can call gods, glorifying You in the process. And we know You can do anything to save them.
In Luke 15:10 from the WEB, You tell us that even so, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner repenting. As these sinners submit to Your will as You make them to be quit from their addictions and vices, make them to repent from all that You quit and everything else that You know about. How much joy in the presence of the angels of God and in Your presence, we can hardly imagine. How much joy in Your presence that there will be here on the earth! In heaven and earth we rejoice, but rejoicing in this delivery and repentance we must proclaim the message of salvation through God's grace.
Everyone has sinned, we all fall short of God's glorious standard. Yet God, with undeserved kindness, declares that we are righteous. He did this through Christ Jesus when he freed us from the penalty for our sins and Jesus Christ did this for us when he died on a cross to declare victory over the power of Satan, freeing us from the penalty for our sins for those who believe. For God took the sinless Christ and poured into him our sins. Then, in exchange, he poured God's goodness into us! Romans 3:23 says, for all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God; Be he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement of our peace was on him; and with his stripes we are healed. So, Jesus Christ is our only Savior and only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God.
Though all have sinned and fall short, it is not God's will that any should perish; but some should turn toward Him and by Jesus Christ through God's grace make Heaven their home. The prophets: Joel 2:23 Be glad then, you children of Zion, and rejoice in Yahweh, your God; for he gives you the early rain in just measure, and he causes the rain to come down for you, the early rain and the latter rain, as before. The next verse explains that I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten, the great locust, the grasshopper, and the caterpillar, my great army, which I sent among you. Behold, I have taken the cup out of their hand, the wine of my wrath; then you will never again drink.
And there will be no one anymore left to beat them back in the country in the way they have been beaten. The following verse goes on to explain joy and to rejoice in God who rejoices in the return of the sinner. They will boast and lift up praise in the land free of fear and shame. All of this occurs at the direction of God Almighty through Jesus Christ of Nazareth.
