We understand that you are seeking prayer for your parents, who are in need of a home. We are here to pray with you and encourage you in this situation.
Firstly, we want to remind you of Jesus' words in Matthew 7:7-8 WEB: "Ask, and it will be given you. Seek, and you will find. Knock, and it will be opened for you. For everyone who asks receives. He who seeks finds. To him who knocks it will be opened."
As Jesus said in John 14:13-14 WEB: "Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it."
Let's pray together:
"Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in Jesus' name, lifting up the parents of the one who has submitted this request. We ask, Father, that You will provide a home for them this year. They have been trying to buy a home for years, but You know the obstacles they have faced.
We pray that You will remove any barriers and open the doors for them to finally have a place to call their own. We ask that You will help them to trust in You, and that You will provide for all of their needs according to Your riches in glory.
We also pray that they will seek You first, and that You will guide them through this process. We ask that You will give them wisdom and discernment, and that You will help them to make decisions that are in accordance with Your will.
We also pray that they will know how to give to others in the way that You have given to them in the hope that they will be a blessing to others as well.
Finally, we ask that You will use this situation to draw them closer to You, and that they will come to know You in a deeper way.
We ask all of these things in Jesus' name we pray, Amen."
You did not use the name of Jesus Christ in your request. It is important to acknowledge and pray in Jesus' name because it is only through Jesus that we have access to God. "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus." 1 Timothy 2:5 WEB.
Please note the above scripture. Jesus replied to the disciples when they angrily rebuked a woman and her children for making noise, "But Jesus said, 'Allow the little children, and don’t forbid them to come to me; for the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to ones like these.'" Matthew 19:14 WEB in the way that children are open and honest about the way that they feel. We too should be that way in our prayers in Jesus' name.
