We rejoice with Paras and Cecilee as they embark on this significant journey toward marriage. It is wonderful that they are taking this step, and we are here to support them in prayer and biblical guidance.
Firstly, we must acknowledge that it is only by the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to God and there is no other name by which we can be saved. We can see this in Acts 4:12 "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved."
Marriage is a sacred institution ordained by God, and it is a lifelong commitment between a man and a woman. As they prepare for this journey, it is crucial to understand that trials and challenges are a normal part of life and marriage. However, God's Word assures us that He will be with us through all these challenges. In Matthew 19:4-6, Jesus reminds us, "Have you not read that he who made them from the beginning made them male and female, and said, 'For this cause a man shall leave his father and mother, and shall join to his wife; and the two shall become one flesh?' So that they are no more two, but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, let no man separate."
We pray that Paras and Cecilee will put God at the center of their relationship, seeking His will and guidance in all their decisions. We pray for God's blessing and protection over their engagement and upcoming marriage. We ask God to help them prepare for the challenges ahead with the scripture in mind. In Galatians 5:22-23, we read, "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Against such things there is no law."
However, we also want to remind them of the importance of purity before marriage. Sexual intimacy is a gift from God designed for marriage. In 1 Corinthians 6:18, it says, "Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body." We encourage them to remain pure and honor God in their courtship.
Let us pray:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You, lifting up Paras and Cecilee as they prepare for their marriage. We ask for Your blessing, protection, and guidance in their lives. Help them to keep You at the center of their relationship, seeking Your will in all they do. Prepare them for the challenges ahead, and help them to grow in love, patience, and understanding. We ask this in the precious name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
May God richly bless Paras and Cecilee as they embark on this beautiful journey together.
