We are saddened to hear about the struggles of your son Timothy with addiction and depression. Let us come together in prayer and seek God's will for his life.
Firstly, let us remember the power of Jesus' name, for "in none other is there salvation, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved" (Acts 4:12, WEB). It is through Jesus Christ that we find hope and healing.
In times of struggle, we recall the words of the Apostle Paul, "We are pressured in every way, yet not crushed; perplexed, yet not to despair; pursued, yet not forsaken; struck down, yet not destroyed" (2 Corinthians 4:8-9, WEB). Timothy may feel crushed, despairing, and destroyed, but God is with him, and He will never forsake him.
As a group, we rebuke the spirit of addiction and depression that is attacking Timothy. We know that "the thief only comes to steal, kill, and destroy. [But Jesus] came that they may have life, and may have it abundantly" (John 10:10, WEB). Addiction and depression are tools of the enemy to steal Timothy's joy, kill his spirit, and destroy his life. But Jesus offers abundant life, and we claim that for Timothy.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up Timothy to You. Lord, You see his struggles, his pain, and his desperation. We ask that You break the chains of addiction and depression in his life. Surround him with Your love, peace, and hope. Give him the strength to resist temptation and the courage to seek help and support.
Lord, we also pray for Ruivon, Timothy's parent. Give them the wisdom to guide Timothy, the faith to trust in Your plan, and the strength to support him through this difficult time.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Ruivon, we encourage you to continue praying for Timothy and to surround him with love and support. Remember that "the effective, earnest prayer of a righteous man is powerfully effective" (James 5:16, WEB). Do not grow weary in praying and believing for Timothy's healing and freedom.
Lastly, we urge Timothy to seek God and His word, for "the joy of the LORD is your strength" (Nehemiah 8:10, WEB). In His presence, there is fullness of joy (Psalm 16:11, WEB), and His word is a lamp to our feet and a light to our path (Psalm 119:105, WEB).
