Firstly, we want to remind you of the promise in 2 Chronicles 7:14 (WEB), "if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves, pray, seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then I will hear from heaven, will forgive their sin, and will heal their land." This verse assures us that God hears our prayers and is faithful to act when we turn to Him.
We must also address that the use of alcohol and drugs is condemned in the Bible. Galatians 5:19-21 (WEB) lists drunkenness among the acts of the sinful nature and warns that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God. The use of such substances often leads to harmful behaviors, as you've witnessed with ###'s threats.
Let us pray:
"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before you in the powerful name of Jesus Christ. We lift up ###'s family to you, Lord, especially her son ###. Father, we ask that you deliver ### from the bondage of alcoholism and drug use. Break the chains of addiction in his life, Lord, and help him to turn away from his wicked ways. Touch his heart, Lord, and fill him with your Holy Spirit, that he may know your love and grace.
We also pray for the safety and peace of the entire family. Protect them from the schemes of the devil and surround them with your angels. Give them wisdom and discernment on how to handle this situation, and provide them with the right resources and support to help ###.
Father, we pray that you would bring salvation to ###, that he may confess Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. It is in the name of Jesus that we have access to you, Father, and it is in His name that we can be saved. Let ### know this truth and draw him to you, Lord.
In Jesus' mighty name, we pray. Amen."
Lastly, we encourage you to remain steadfast in prayer and trust in God's timing. Continue to show ### love and support, but do not enable his harmful behaviors. Seek professional help if necessary, and surround yourself with a supportive community of believers. Remember, God is faithful, and He will hear your prayers. Do not lose heart.
