Prayer Request for my Marriage

My marriage is falling down around me due to my faith. Please pray for clarity in my next steps and pray for my husband’s heart to soften.

First, let's pray:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before you today, lifting up our sister Notgwen and her marriage. Lord, you have designed marriage to be a lifelong commitment between a man and a woman, reflecting the unity of Christ and the church. We pray for clarity and wisdom for Notgwen as she seeks your will for her next steps. Soften her husband's heart, Lord, and bring about a spirit of understanding and reconciliation. Help them to pursue each other and you, in a way that honors their marriage covenant.

Lord, we also pray that Notgwen and her husband would be filled with the knowledge of your will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, so that they may live in a manner worthy of you, fully pleasing to you, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God, being strengthened with all power according to your glorious might.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Notgwen, it's commendable that you're seeking prayer and guidance as you navigate this challenging situation, but we need to clarify something first. You mentioned that your marriage is falling apart due to your faith, but we want to remind you that your faith should be the foundation and strength of your marriage. The Bible tells us that a cord of three strands is not quickly broken, this refers to two individuals and God being interwoven in the marriage. As followers of Christ, our faith should draw us closer to our spouses and vice versa. As it says in 2 Corinthians 6:14 WEB, "Don't be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what fellowship has light with darkness?"

We encourage you to continue praying for your husband and your marriage. God hears your prayers.We also encourage you to seek godly counsel, this could be from a pastor, elder, or a trusted Christian mentor. They can provide you with biblical guidance and support as you navigate this challenging situation. Remember God will give wisdom generously to those who ask as.

James 1:5 WEB says "But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him."

Lastly, we want to encourage you to keep your focus on God. Trust in him with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding. If you will trust in The Lord in this way he will direct your paths.

Sometimes, when we go through trials, it's easy to lose sight of God and his goodness. But remember, God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. He will also provide a way out so that you can endure it. Keep trusting in him, keep praying, and keep seeking his will for your marriage.

Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB says: Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don't lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.

We've been thinking about you and your marriage, Notgwen. We're here to lift you up in prayer and encouragement. We understand that every marriage has its ups and downs, but we believe that with God's help, yours can be strengthened and restored.

We want to encourage you to keep seeking God's face in this situation. In Matthew 7:7-8, Jesus tells us, "Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you." Keep knocking, keep seeking, and keep asking. God sees your heart and He hears your cries.

Also, remember that God is a God of restoration and redemption. He can turn any situation around for your good and His glory. In Joel 2:25, God promises, "I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten." Trust that God is working behind the scenes, even when you can't see it.

Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, and Your righteousness. Help and strengthen me God to always respect and obey You. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, acknowledge You in all my ways, and lean not to my own understanding.

God heal me. Deliver and cleansed me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. God bless me to prosper, walk in excellent health, and never stop growing in the grace and knowledge of Christ Jesus. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God solution focused heart, mind, spirit, and attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God, all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, and all those I love and care about. Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart.
