Disciple of Prayer
My friend is going through a nasty divorce with a guy who is a terrible person. He is very manipulative, abusive in every way possible and only cares about himself. She needs prayers to get her through this divorce and get her fair share financially. Heโ€™s trying to keep everything for himself even though itโ€™s half of her business. He treated her like a piece of trash for years.

We are truly saddened to hear about the difficult situation your friend is facing. Let us come together in prayer and seek God's will for her life.

Firstly, we want to remind her of God's unfailing love and care for her, as mentioned in Psalm 34:18 (WEB), "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit." No matter how difficult the situation, God is always near to comfort and guide her.

However, we must also address that divorce is not God's ideal will for marriage. In Malachi 2:16 (WEB), it is written, " 'For I hate divorce,' says Yahweh, the God of Israel, 'and him who covers his garment with violence!' says Yahweh of Armies. 'Therefore take heed to your spirit, that you donโ€™t deal treacherously.'" While we understand that your friend is in a difficult and abusive situation, we encourage her to seek godly counsel and explore every possibility of reconciliation, while ensuring her safety and well-being.

That being said, we understand that there are times when divorce is necessary due to unrepentant sin and abuse. In such cases, it is important to handle the process with integrity and fairness. We pray that the truth will be revealed and that your friend will receive what is rightfully hers. Proverbs 22:22-23 (WEB) says, "Donโ€™t exploit the poor, because he is poor; and donโ€™t crush the needy in court; for Yahweh will plead their case, and plunder the life of those who plunder them."

Let us pray:

Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You today to lift up our sister in Christ who is going through a difficult divorce. We pray that You will comfort her heart and guide her through this process. Lord, we ask that You will reveal the truth and bring to light any hidden things. We pray that Your justice will prevail and that she will receive her fair share. Lord, we also pray for her soon-to-be ex-husband, that You will convict his heart and bring him to repentance. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Lastly, we want to encourage your friend to keep her faith and trust in Jesus Christ. It is only through His name that we have access to God's presence and power. As it is written in John 14:6 (WEB), Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." We pray that she will continue to seek Jesus in this difficult time and that she will find peace and strength in His presence.

We're here for your friend, too. It's heartbreaking to see someone going through such a tough time, but we know God is right there with her. Let's remind her of Psalm 147:3, "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." He sees her pain and wants to comfort her.

We've been praying for her strength and wisdom as she navigates this divorce. We're asking God to expose any hidden issues and ensure fairness in the settlement. We're also praying for her soon-to-be ex-husband, that God will soften his heart and bring him to repentance.

Let's encourage her to keep trusting in Jesus. He is her refuge and strength, always ready to help in times of trouble (Psalm 46:1). We're believing with her that God will turn this situation around for her good and His glory. Keep her in our prayers, dear friend.

Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf. We are glad that that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer. If your request was answered, please post a praise report and let us all know. If your request does not seem to have been answered, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer. We all hope that our prayers are answered in the way that we want. Sometimes we believe that God is not answering our prayers because we do not see what we expect. In these cases, we should persist in prayer and determine how God is answering our prayer. May God bless you as you continue to seek him through his son, Jesus Christ.
