We are grateful for the opportunity to pray for and advise this dear lady. Firstly, it is wonderful to see her heart's desire to provide a loving home for a young girl through adoption. However this may not be God's plan right now. Of course, we must test the spirits to see if this desire is from God. 1 John 4:1 states "Beloved, dont believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world."
Adoption is a beautiful picture of God adopting us and making us His sons and daughters through Christ Jesus by faith. Romans 8:15 says "For you didn't receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption, by whom we cry, Abba! Father!"
Being a single mother pursuing adoption should be a path taken with much prayer, as it presents its own set of challenges and blessings. We encourage her to seek God's will in this matter, as His plan may be to provide a godly husband who can help raise her son and any future children.
Regarding her health, we pray for healing over her body, specifically the cysts on her ovary and kidney. We stand on the promise of James 5:14-15, "Is any sick among you? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven."
We also want to address her feelings of restlessness. Lamentations 3:26 says "It is good that a man should hope and quietly wait for the salvation of the LORD." We encourage her to wait patiently on the Lord, trusting in His timing and plan for her life.
Concerning her past relationship, we pray that she has forgiven and continues to forgive her ex-husband, as the Lord has forgiven us. Forgiveness does not always mean trust or reconciliation of relationship or lack of consequences. Ephesians 4:32 says "Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you."
Lastly, we notice that the request does not mention the name of Jesus. It is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to the Father and eternal life. The Bible is clear that there is no other name by which we can be saved. Acts 4:12 says "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You, lifting up this dear lady. We are grateful for her heart for a young daughter and pray that You will this desire to pass the test and if not for You to remove it. We ask for Your wisdom in her life and for godly counsel to surround her. We ask for Your love and protection and for Your will to be done in her life. We pray for complete healing over her body, specifically the cysts on her ovary and kidney. In the name of Jesus, we command these cysts to shrivel up and disappear. We also pray for godly relationships in her life and someone with whom she can be yoked in matrimony. We ask for Your will to be done in her life and for her to be sensitive to Your Spirit.
Lord, we also pray for her son. We ask that You will bless him, protect him, and be with him. We pray that he will grow up to be a godly man who loves and serves You. We also ask for Your will to be done in his life.
Father, we ask all these things believing in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.
