We understand your fervent desire to see the church established in your village for God's glory, and we join you in prayer. However, we must address a few points to align with biblical principles.
Firstly, we are called to pray for our enemies and those who persecute us, not for their destruction. As Jesus taught, "But I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you," Matthew 5:44 WEB. We should pray for their change of heart, not their annihilation.
Secondly, we must be careful not to accuse others falsely or judge their salvation. It is God alone who knows the hearts of men. We can pray for God to expose any evil deeds and to bring conviction and repentance.
Let us pray:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, asking for Your will to be done in this situation. We pray for the church in this village, that it would be a beacon of Your light and love. We ask that You would expose any evil deeds being done in secret and bring conviction to those who are working against Your will. We pray for a change of heart in those who are opposed to the opening of the new church, that they would see the error of their ways and turn to You.
We also pray for the innocent believers who are eager to see new souls brought to the church. We ask for Your protection over them, their families, and their reputations. Strengthen them in their faith and give them wisdom and discernment in their actions.
We pray that the church would be opened not by might, nor by power, but by Your Spirit, Lord. May Your glory fill the church and the village. We ask all this in the name of Jesus Christ, who is the head of the church, His body, and is the Savior of the body. Ephesians 5:23 WEB. Amen.
We encourage you to continue praying fervently, but also to remember that our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the world rulers of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. Ephesians 6:12 WEB. Stand firm in your faith, and trust in the Lord to fight this battle.
