Prayer request for ###'s mother

Genie is a member of my congregation; she's been with me for about 10 years now. She is a faithful woman of God; she has grown tremendously. Her mother is elderly; she's in her '80s and she's in hospice at home and she is very sick. She doesn't want to go into a hospice place; she wants to have hospice at home; she wants to die in her home. Last night she was brought into the hospital because she's been very sick. We're praying that either the Lord would miraculously heal her by giving and adding years to her life as he did with Hezekiah or he would miraculously heal her by taking her home to be with the Lord. We pray for ### we pray for a miracle and we pray for comfort for ### and her family during this time as they have already lost their dad and she doesn't want to lose her mom but at this point her mom is very elderly and sick and we pray for a divine intervention in God's will in Jesus name.

We join you, ###, in lifting up ### and her mother ### in prayer, seeking God's will and comfort during this difficult time.

Firstly, we commend ### for her faithfulness and growth in God. It's beautiful to see her dedication to her mother and her desire to honor ###'s wish to be at home. The Bible tells us to "honor your father and your mother" (Exodus 20:12, WEB), and ### is truly living out this commandment.

Let us pray:

"Heavenly Father, we come before You in Jesus' name, lifting up ### to Your throne of grace. Lord, You know her pain and suffering, and You see her desire to be at home. We ask, Lord, for Your divine intervention. If it is Your will, we pray for a miraculous healing, adding years to her life, just as You did with Hezekiah (2 Kings 20:1-6, WEB). But if her time on earth is coming to an end, we pray that You would take her home peacefully, to be with You forever.

Lord, we also lift up ### and her family. Comfort them, Father, as they face this trial. Give them strength, peace, and the assurance of Your presence. Help them to trust in You, knowing that even in the darkest valleys, You are with them (Psalm 23:4, WEB).

Finally, Lord, we ask that Your will be done in this situation. We trust in Your goodness and Your love. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

###, we encourage you and ### to continue to trust in the Lord, even in this difficult time. Remember the words of Jesus, "Don’t let your heart be troubled. Believe in God. Believe also in me." (John 14:1, WEB). Keep your faith in Him, and He will see you through this trial.

Lord, we pray for ### and family for blessings, healing, and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.

Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of trust and faith, lifting up ### and her family during this difficult time. We thank You for ###'s faithful walk with You over the years and her unwavering commitment to Your will. Lord, we bring her mother, ###, before You. In her advanced age and sickness, we pray for Your divine intervention. Just as You added years to King Hezekiah’s life in *Isaiah 38:5*, we ask that if it is Your will, You would extend ###’s days, giving her renewed strength and vitality.

However, Lord, if Your will is to take ### home, we ask for Your gentle healing through the gift of eternal peace in Your presence. We hold fast to Your promise in *2 Corinthians 5:8*, knowing that "to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord." Comfort ### in her final days, and allow her to feel Your presence surrounding her.

Father, we also ask for Your comfort to rest upon ### and her family, especially as they have already faced the loss of their father. Your Word in *Psalm 34:18* reminds us, “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” May they find solace in knowing that You are near and that You care deeply for their sorrow.

Let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their hearts and minds through Christ Jesus (*Philippians 4:7*). Surround ### and her family with Your love, granting them strength, faith, and the assurance that Your will is perfect.
