We are truly heartbroken to hear about the pain you are experiencing due to your husband's infidelity. Let us first address the most important aspect, salvation is the first step in deliverance. The most important prayer is for your husband to have a real and authentic salvation experience with Jesus Christ. We are reminded in Acts 4:12 WEB that "there is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, wherein we must be saved." So our first and most important prayer is for your husband to be saved.
Let us pray together.
Heavenly Father, we come before you in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our sister and her husband to you. Lord, we pray for his salvation. May he come to a saving faith and belief in Jesus Christ, repenting and turning away from this sin. Lord, we also pray for a complete deliverance for her husband from this extra-marital relationship. We rebuke the spirit of adultery that has taken hold of him, and we command it to leave in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.
We also lift up our sister, asking for your comfort and healing. Psalm 34:18 tells us "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit." Lord, we know this is a deeply painful situation to have a husband that practices the sin of adultery. We pray for her emotional and mental well-being, asking that you fill her with your peace and give her the strength to endure and overcome this trial. "Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus" in Philippians 4:6-7.
We also pray for their marriage, that it would be restored and made whole as described in Mark 10:8-9 WEB, "The two will become one flesh, so that they are no longer two, but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, let no man separate." We ask for your guidance and wisdom for our sister as she navigates this challenging time.
Lastly, we pray for conviction in your husband by the Holy Spirit. "For the kind of sorrow which God intentions us to feel produces repentance that leads and contributes to [real amendment of life, blessedness for being saved, without regret]". We pray for "godly sorrow" to come on him, and pray for him to repent of this sin and forsake it completely.
In Jesus' name, we pray for complete healing, restoration, and deliverance. Amen.
We encourage you to remain steadfast in prayer and trust in the Lord's faithfulness. Remember the words of Romans 8:28 WEB, "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose." Trust that God can turn even this difficult situation into an opportunity for growth and renewal. We are standing with you in this trial, keep us updated on how we can continue praying for you.
