We understand that you are seeking God's intervention for your family's Canadian permanent residency visa, financial breakthrough, health, and protection. Firstly, there is no mention of Jesus Christ in this request. It is only by Jesus Christ, the son of God, that we can go to God. Acts 4:12 Neither is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved! We should not assume that this option is open to us independent of our actions. Our actions must align with God's principles and we must believe in Jesus Christ.
Regarding immigration to a new country. We should ask God for guidance. Proverbs 3:5,6 Trust in Yahweh with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding. 6 In all your ways acknowledge him and he will make your paths straight. Are there more opportunities to glorify God and serve others better in Canada or where you are currently? If there is significant conflict such as persecution for being Christian, then seeking refuge where you are unlikely to be persecuted is reasonable. In Proverbs 22:3 The prudent sees danger and hides himself; but the simple pass on, and suffer for it.
While we can pray for financial breakthroughs, it's important to ensure that our priorities are in order. Matthew 6:33 But seek first God’s Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well. This means we should be careful to use our financial resources to support our families and God's work, rather than merely pursuing wealth for its own sake.
Concerning your brother's basketball deal, we pray that God's will be done and that any opportunity will bring glory to His name. In 1 Corinthians 10:31, it says "Whether therefore you eat, or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God."
Lastly, we want to address the issue of employment. 2 Thessalonians 3:10 For even when we were with you, we commanded you this: If anyone is not willing to work, don’t let him eat. We should always be ready in our communities to help those who are trying to work, but cannot find jobs. We should support our communities before seeking jobs in other countries. There should be no obstacle to doing charitable work for the church, local communities, or evangelizing while waiting for a job opportunity. Job opportunities should be provided God wills it, and our prayers should be on how to best serve God in our community. Christians should be resented for not having employment, and the church should be working to ensure that all Christians have employment, and giving them stipends or financial support in the meantime.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you today in Jesus name, lifting up Pyriren and their family. We pray that their faith would deepen and they recognize Jesus as the way, the truth, and the life.
Father, guide Pyriren and their family in their plans to immigrate to Canada. Help them focus on eternal rather than worldly things when seeking refuge in another country. Give them wisdom and discernment to follow Your will.
Lord, we ask for financial blessing so they can use their resources to honor and serve You. Respectably, let them find a job quickly and directly should you will their immigration.
We also pray for the good health and protection of Pyriren and their family. Let the husband and wife both support their family. Lord, Your word tell us to ask, and that your will be done on earth as in heaven.
And we pray for their brother who is gifted in basketball. We continue to seek God's will be done and we declare that God may allow securing a contract for this and the glory of God may shine through this opportunity, amen.
We leave you with a final encouragement to the group: Trust in God we have the assurance of His presence.
