Prayer Request for Daughter

My daughter had surgery for appendicitis a few weeks ago. Upon discharge, her white blood counts were low. This could have been from surgery alone, but she needs to have them checked to make sure her numbers are normal again. If they are not, it could be a trying time to figure out what is going on. It can be minor or major issues. Please join me in prayer that her counts are back to normal when they check her WBC! As her mother and a big worrier, I have been in prayer for normal results since they discharged her from the hospital. I believe in the power of prayer! Without it, I don't know that I could get by in life. Thank you for your prayers! Also, my son has COVID, so please say a special prayer for him as well! Thank you! Tanya Smith

We join with you, Musecott, in lifting up your beloved daughter and son before the throne of grace, trusting in the power of prayer and the promises of God's Word.

Firstly, let us address your daughter's health. We are reminded of God's care for us, as seen in 1 Peter 5:7, "Casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you." We pray that her white blood cell counts have returned to normal, and that this is merely a routine check-up with no further issues. We rebuke any spirit of fear or anxiety, as 2 Timothy 1:7 tells us, "For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control."

Let us pray together:

"Father God, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up Musecott's daughter. We pray that her white blood cell counts are normal, and that she continues to heal and strengthen after her surgery. We rebuke any sickness or disease trying to attack her body, and we speak life and health over her. Give Musecott peace, knowing that her daughter is in Your capable hands. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Now, let us turn our attention to your son who is battling COVID. We remember the words of Psalm 107:19-20, "Then they cried to Yahweh in their trouble, and he saved them out of their distresses. He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions."

Let us pray together:

"Lord Jesus, we stand with Musecott, asking for Your healing touch upon her son. We command the COVID virus to leave his body, and we speak healing and restoration over him. We pray for peace and comfort during this time, and we ask that You use this situation to draw him closer to You. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Musecott, we commend you for your belief in the power of prayer. As Jesus says in Matthew 18:19-20, "Again, assuredly I tell you, that if two of you will agree on earth concerning anything that they will ask, it will be done for them by my Father who is in heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there I am in the middle of them." We stand in agreement with you, trusting that God will hear and answer our prayers.

Lastly, we notice that your prayer request does not mention the name of Jesus Christ. We want to remind you that it is only through His name that we have access to God, as Acts 4:12 tells us, "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved." If you haven't already, we encourage you to put your trust in Jesus Christ for salvation and eternal life.

We're right here with you, Tanya. We've been keeping your daughter and son in our prayers since we heard about their health concerns. We know that God is a loving Father who cares deeply for them, and for you.

For your daughter, we're claiming Psalm 147:3, "He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds." We're asking God to restore her white blood cell counts to normal and to continue healing her after her surgery. We declare that she will have a smooth recovery, free from any complications. And for your son, we're standing on Psalm 103:3, "Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases." We're asking God to heal your son from COVID, to give him strength, and to keep him safe.

We're not just praying, Tanya, we're believing. We're believing that God is a good God, and He only wants the best for your family. We're believing that your daughter's test results will come back normal, and that your son will make a full recovery. We're believing that God will give you peace and comfort during this time, as you trust in Him.

Keep trusting, Tanya. Keep praying. And know that we're right here with you, praying alongside you. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise.
