We understand that you are seeking prayer for your sister and brother-in-law to obtain permanent residence visas for the country where they have been working for several years. We will pray for God's will and guidance in their situation, remembering that all authority and governments are established by Him.

Let us pray:

Heavenly Father, we come before You today, lifting up our sister and brother-in-law who are seeking permanent residence in the###. We ask, Lord, that You would be sovereign over this situation and that Your will would be done in their lives. We pray that if it is Your will for them to remain in that country, that You would move the hearts of those in authority to grant them permanent residence.

We remember Lord that it is You who sets up kings and governments. You have the final say in all matters.

Let every soul be in subjection to the higher authorities, for there is no authority except from God, and those who exist are ordained by God. Romans 13:1 WEB

Father, we also pray for their faith and trust in You to be strengthened during this time of waiting. We pray that they would seek You first and that their desire to stay in that country would be in line with Your will for their lives. We pray that they would keep their eyes fixed on You and that they would not be anxious about this situation.

But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well. Matthew 6:33 WEB Then Jesus said, Behold, I stand at the door and knock. Father, we also pray for their testimony in that country. We pray that they would be shining lights for You, and that through their situation, others would come to know You. We pray that You would be glorified in all that they do and that You would give them opportunities to share the good news of Jesus Christ with those around them.

We pray for those in authority over this decision. We pray Father that you would work in their lives, that you would guide them, and that you would give them wisdom in this decision. We pray that You would use this situation to draw them closer to You.

I exhort therefore, first of all, that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and givings of thanks, be made for all men, for kings and all who are in high places; that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and reverence. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior; who desires all people to be saved and come to full knowledge of the truth. 1 Timothy 2:1-4 WEB

Father, we thank You for hearing our prayers. We thank You for Your faithfulness and for Your love for us. We ask all these things in the precious name of Jesus Christ, who is at the right hand of God interceding for us.

We pray for God's will to be done in this situation and for our sister and brother-in-law to trust in Him, no matter the outcome. We encourage them to continue to seek God's face and to rest in His sovereignty.
