We stand with you, dear brother in Christ, as you seek freedom from the grip of alcohol. We are reminded of 1 Corinthians 10:13, "No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it."
Let us pray together:
"Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus, interceding for our brother who is struggling with alcohol. We know, Lord, that You are faithful and that You will not let him be tempted beyond what he can bear. Please provide him with the strength to resist and the way out that You promise in Your Word. Help him to be sober-minded and watchful, as You instruct in 1 Peter 5:8. Fill him with Your Holy Spirit, guiding him in all truth and helping him to overcome this stronghold in his life. We ask all this in the mighty and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen."
We encourage you to continue to trust in Jesus and His power to set you free. Remember the words of Jesus in John 8:36, "If therefore the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed." Keep your eyes fixed on Him, attend to the Word of God, and seek fellowship with other believers who can support and encourage you in your journey.
We also urge you to consider seeking help from Christian counselors or support groups that can provide practical steps and accountability as you walk this path to freedom. Always remember that it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to God and can find true salvation and freedom. As it is written in Acts 4:12, "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men, by which we must be saved."
Stay strong in the Lord, dear brother, and know that we are praying for your complete and lasting victory.
