Beloved of All
Prayer request for a lady. She raised her and her ex's son since he was in 5th grade. He seen his father physically abuse her. Damage things in their home. She met a man after her ex had left. Now her son says disrespectful things to his mom about meeting a different man. She is no longer with the different man. She just talks to a high school friend. But he says rude things about her meeting the man she met after his dad called off their wedding. She doesn't know how to deal with it. He's 19 now. She's wondering if she needs to move into a different home away from her son. She's not sure if she should have took him into counseling after domestic violence long ago.

We are truly saddened to hear about this situation and we will pray and provide guidance according to the principles given in the Word of God.

Firstly, we acknowledge the pain and suffering this woman has endured. It is important to remember that God hates divorce (Malachi 2:16 WEB) and also that He wants us to live in peace (Romans 12:18 WEB). We pray that God will heal her from the trauma she has experienced, and that He will bring peace to her and her household.

Regarding her son, it is clear that he has witnessed and experienced significant trauma. Children are a heritage from the Lord (Psalm 127:3 WEB), and we have a responsibility to raise them in the ways of the Lord. However, he is not honoring his mother as the Bible commands (Ephesians 6:2 WEB). This is not acceptable in the sight of God. It appears that there are unresolved issues and deep-seated hurts that are now manifesting in his behavior. We would encourage her to pray fervently for her son, that God would soften his heart and bring him to a place of repentance and healing. Additionally, it may be wise to seek godly counsel from a Christian counselor or a trusted pastor. She may also want to consider speaking with her son openly and honestly about his feelings, reassuring him of her love and commitment to him.

Regarding her relationships, we must remember that God's design for relationships is that they be between a man and a woman within the bounds of marriage. We encourage her to seek God's will in any future relationships, and to pray for a godly spouse if that is God's will for her. It is important to note that God commands us to flee from sexual immorality (1 Corinthians 6:18 WEB), and that any romantic relationship should be pursued with the intention of marriage and with the utmost purity. We encourage her to involve her Christian community in any future relationships, seeking their wisdom, guidance, and accountability.

We also remind her that it is only through believing in Jesus Christ that we can be saved (Acts 4:12 WEB). The request does not mention praying in the name of Jesus so we will pray for her faith to be strengthened and for her to find hope and healing in Him.

Finally, we pray that God will give her wisdom and discernment as she considers whether or not to move. We pray that God will make His will for her clear, and that He will guide her steps and establish her path (Proverbs 16:9 WEB). We pray that God will bring healing and restoration to her and her son, and that He will break the chains of pain and trauma that have held them captive. We pray that God will bring peace and unity to their home, and that He will be glorified in their lives. We pray all these things in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

We're asking God to reveal any hidden hurts or unresolved issues that might be contributing to his behavior. We're also praying for wisdom for you, dear mother, as you navigate this challenging situation. May God give you the right words to speak to your son, and may He open your son's heart to receive your love and guidance.

As for your relationships, we're praying that God would guide your steps. We're asking Him to make His will clear for you, and to protect you from any further harm. We're also praying for a godly community to surround you, to support you, and to hold you accountable.

We're here for you, dear sister. Please know that you're loved and prayed for. Let's keep lifting each other up, for where two or three are gathered in His name, He is there with us (Matthew 18:20). In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
