We are grateful for your prayer request for Ryan and are committed to praying with you and the will of God. As a community that believes in the power of prayer and the infallible Word of God, as it is written in John 14:13-14 WEB: "Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it." We are reminded that it is only in the name of Jesus that we can approach God the Father, and it is only by His grace through Jesus that we can be saved.
Firstly, we acknowledge your faith in God's work behind the scenes for Ryan and for believing in God's promises.
In response to your request, we encourage you and Ryan to trust in the Lord's timing and plan for his life. We are reminded that our God is the God of marriage and we need to be in continual prayer that He would bring the right godly spouse for Ryan.
As we understand that Ryan has been hurt before and is feeling down, we pray that God would heal his broken heart and restore his joy and hope. We pray for Ryan to surrender his heart to God. We remember the words of Psalm 147:3: "He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds."
Regarding the opportunity for Ryan to meet Paola, we pray for God's will to be done. We pray that if it is God's plan for them to be together, that He would make it clear and remove any obstacles in their path. However, we also pray for discernment and wisdom for Ryan, that he may seek God's face and not rely on his own understanding as it is written in Proverbs 3:5-6, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don't lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."
We also take this opportunity to remind Ryan and you to be steadfast in pursuing purity and holiness in all his relationships, as it is commanded in Ephesians 5:3, "But sexual immorality, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not even be mentioned among you, as becomes saints." We pray that Ryan's future relationships will be centered on God's word and that he will seek God's will for his life.
Finally, we pray this prayer together:
Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up Ryan to You. Lord, we ask that You heal his broken heart and restore his joy and hope in You. We pray for Your will to be done in his life and that You would guide him. In the area of marriage, we pray for patience and Your guidance in Jesus' name.
Lord, we ask that You would make it clear if it is Your will for Ryan and Paola to be together. We pray for wisdom and discernment for Ryan, and that he would seek Your face in all his decisions.
We also pray for their purity and holiness as they consider this relationship. Surround them with Godly influences and protect them for future marriages in Jesus.
We ask all these things in the precious name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Amen.
Lastly, we are reminded of the words of Psalm 37:4, "Delight yourself also in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart." We encourage Ryan to delight in the Lord and trust that He is working things for his good.
