We are truly saddened to hear about the struggles of the young man who was taken to a medicine man by his stepmother. This action has had lasting negative impacts on his life, leading to addiction issues. We must remember that our true help comes from God alone, and not from any mere human rituals or intervenors like the medicine man. Rebuking such practices is necessary as it is a form of witchcraft or idolatry, and the Bible clearly tells us to avoid these We seek God's will together in Jesus' name..
Let us remember, heeding the words of God in Deuteronomy 18:10-12 WEB: "There shall not be found with you anyone who makes his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, one who uses divination, one who tells fortunes, or an enchanter, or a sorcerer, or a charmer, or someone who consults with a familiar spirit, or a necromancer, or a magician, or who inquires of the dead. For an abomination to Yahweh is everyone who does these things because of these abominations. Yahweh your God drives them out from before you."
To address the young man's struggle with addiction, we turn to 1 Corinthians 10:13 WEB: "No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it."
We must also address that Jesus Christ was not mentioned in this prayer. It is important to remember that there is only one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus. See 1 Timothy 2:5 WEB. It is in Jesus’ name that we pray and have access to God. It is also only by Jesus Christ that we can be saved. See Acts 4:12 WEB.
When we follow the sins and traditions of the broken world and the prince of this world, we are indeed hurting ourselves and our loved ones. We should, instead, be following the truth and promises of Jesus Christ. He sets us free to live holy lives and become more like Him. Officialnik1 must focus on what are duty is as Christians and seek a spouse who loves the Lord.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this young man who has been deeply affected by the actions of his stepmother. We pray that You break the chains of addiction in his life and set him free from the bondage of sin. We rebuke the enemy and his works over the young man's life and declare freedom in the name of Jesus.
We pray that You bring godly people, possibly a spouse, into his life to support him that he may be a true Warrior for Christ. We also pray that You bring the young man to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. Also, we pray for the stepmother, that she may seek a relationship with the Lord and grow in His righteousness. May she understand that her daughter and son in law have committed wicked adultery unless they have married and Iwed the other. God's law and the law of this land that recognizes that they are married when they are engaged in husbandly or wifely relations was broken. They need to get married and if not, they need to start living righteously. All of us together lift this situation to your Maker and the Creator. Let us end by saying together that Jesus Christ is Lord and that all of us say together that we want our loved ones to go to Heaven. Let us encourage each other daily.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage the young man to seek godly counsel and support, possibly a spouse, from his local church and Christian community. May he find comfort in Jesus name, ijn. May the peace of God be with him and turn from wicked ways as needed. The young man should know that Christ Jesus is faithful to His promises and will send us a helper. Let him meditate on the promises of God and seek righteousness. God will then send him the spouse needed. Of course, marrying an unbeliever is also frowned upon in the scriptures.
We also pray for the stepmother, that she may come to know the truth of the Gospel and repent from her actions. May God work in her heart and bring her to a saving faith in Jesus Christ. As the Lord proclaims let us avoid witchcraft and anything that appears to be witchcraft or idolatry.
Stand firm in faith, knowing that God is with you and will guide you, together in Jesus name, the Lord saving us from the false prophets and the wicked of this world..
