PSALM 8
The glory of the name of Yahweh and the dignity of man
From David
1 O Yahweh our Lord, how glorious is your Name in all the earth, because you have set your glory above the heavens.
2 Through the mouths of young men and children you established your praise, for the sake of your adversaries, to destroy the adversary who takes revenge.
3 For your heavens have seen the work of your fingers; you formed the moon and the stars.
4 What is man that you remember him, and the son of man that you visit him?
5 You made him a little lower than the angels, and covered him with glory and honor;
6 You gave him authority over the work of your hands, and placed everything under his feet:
7 all the sheep and the oxen; also the beasts of the field,
8 the birds of the sky and the fish of the sea that travel the path of the seas.
9 O Yahweh our Lord, how glorious is your Name in all the earth!

Heavenly Father,

We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up our hearts in prayer and praise. As David proclaimed in Psalm 8, "O Yahweh our Lord, how glorious is Your Name in all the earth!" We stand in awe of Your majesty and the works of Your hands. You have set Your glory above the heavens, and through the mouths of young men and children, You have established Your praise to silence Your adversaries.

Lord, we marvel at the heavens, the work of Your fingers, the moon, and the stars which You have formed. We are humbled that You, the Creator of all, remember us and visit us. What is man that You are mindful of him, and the son of man that You care for him? Yet, You have made us a little lower than the angels and crowned us with glory and honor.

You have given us authority over the works of Your hands, placing everything under our feet—sheep, oxen, beasts of the field, birds of the sky, and fish of the sea. We are grateful for the dignity and responsibility You have bestowed upon us.

Father, we ask that You continue to glorify Your Name through our lives. Help us to walk in the authority and honor You have given us, always mindful of Your greatness and our dependence on You. May Your Name be exalted in all the earth, and may we live in a way that reflects Your glory.

In Jesus' mighty name, we pray. Amen.

Let Us Pray: God Thank You for loving me. Thank You for loving me Jesus. God, I ask You in Jesus' name to please bless me with everything I stand in need of, and everything You want me to have. Bless me to know You in truth and fall in love with You with all my heart, soul, mind, and strength. Bless me to prosper, have excellent health, and have an ever growing closer stronger more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always honor, respect, and obey You. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, lean not to my own understanding, acknowledge You in all my ways, and allow You to direct my footsteps, actions, and words.

God heal me, body, soul, and spirit. Cleansed me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You or breaks Your heart. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, pray Your best for me, and all those I love and care about. God please forever honor this prayer over each of our lives. God Thank You. Amen, so be it by faith.
