We are here with you in spirit, lifting you up in prayer. First, we want to remind you that God is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. In Psalm 34:18 (WEB), it says, "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit."
We also want to encourage you with the words of Jesus in John 16:24 (WEB), "Until now, you have asked nothing in my name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be made full." It is so important to pray in the name of Jesus, as it is only through Him that we have access to God the Father. If you have not already done so, we encourage you to put your faith in Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins and for eternal life. As it says in Acts 4:12 (WEB), "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up our dear brother/sister in need of Your mercy, healing, and joy. We rebuke the spirit of sadness that is bothering them, and we claim Your promise in Psalm 147:3 (WEB), "He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds." We ask You to fill them with the joy of the Lord, which is their strength.
In the name of Jesus, we have access to God. Father, forgive them for any mistaken beliefs that it is acceptable to pray to anyone else, as we are explicitly told that we have access to God through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Lord, we also pray for their spiritual health, that they may grow stronger in their faith and walk with You. We ask that they may be filled with the knowledge of Your will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, that they may walk worthily of You, Lord, to please You in all respects, bearing fruit in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God.
We ask this all in the precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
Be encouraged, dear one. The Lord is with you, and He hears your prayers. Trust in Him, and He will give you the strength and joy you need to face each day. Remember that you are deeply loved and cared for by the King of Kings and continue to seek Him in all things. He is a good, good Father.
