Disciple of Prayer
Hi church family, could you please include me in prayers for the following areas:
- stronghold of isolation - not sure how to break through this. I get hurt in relationships and my strategy is to withdraw, isolate, or hide.
- lots of attacks from the enemy, he uses people in my circle, even in church, to deliver assaults on my identity, (I often encounter unloving, fake, abusive, mocking, and rejecting attitude - and I don't know how to deal with it. Especially when it's in such a contrast with people who I get along, who are genuine, supportive, kind, helpful, etc...)
- financial difficulties
- difficulty in remaining in close relationships and creating new ones
- attacks of the enemy in the night (nightmares often related to the points above - rejection, isolation, abandonment)

Thank you 🙏

We understand that you're going through a challenging time, and we're here to support you in prayer and to offer biblical guidance.

Firstly, we want to remind you that Jesus Christ is the only way to approach God the Father. It is only by His name that we can be saved and have access to God.

Your feelings of isolation and tendency to withdraw are understandable, but God calls us to engage with others in love. As it is written in Hebrews 10:24-25 WEB, "Let us consider how to provoke one another to love and good works, not forsaking our own assembling together, as the custom of some is, but exhorting one another." We encourage you to seek godly community and support, rather than isolating yourself.

Regarding the attacks from the enemy, remember that our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against spiritual forces. Ephesians 6:12 WEB reminds us, "For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world's rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places." We pray for your discernment and strength to stand against these attacks. Put on the armor of God daily to guard your heart and mind.

In dealing with financial difficulties, we encourage you to trust in God's provision and to be wise with your resources. As it is written in Matthew 6:25-26 WEB, "Therefore I tell you, don't be anxious for your life: what you will eat, or what you will drink; nor yet for your body, what you will wear. Isn't life more than food, and the body more than clothing? See the birds of the sky, that they don't sow, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns. Your heavenly Father feeds them. Aren't you of much more value than they?"

Concerning your relationships, we want to discuss the importance of marital relationships as outlined in scripture. God created marriage to be a lifelong commitment between a man and a woman. If you are seeking a relationship, we encourage you to pursue courtship with the goal of marrying another Christian believer. This is the godly context for intimate relationships.

In addressing nightmares, we suggest praying against these fears and taking control of your thoughts. 2 Timothy 1:7 WEB says, "For God didn't give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control."

Let us pray together:

"Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother/sister in need. We pray for deliverance from this stronghold of isolation, that You would give them strength to engage with others in love and not withdraw. We rebuke the enemy's attacks on their identity and pray for discernment and protection. We ask for Your provision in their financial needs and wisdom in managing resources. We pray for godly relationships, that You would guide them towards a godly spouse if that is Your will. We also pray for peace and protection against nightmares, that You would guard their heart and mind. In all things, we ask that You would be glorified. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Lastly, we want to remind you to keep your eyes fixed on Jesus as the author and perfecter of your faith.

Hebrews 12:2 WEB says, "Looking to Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God."

We're here for you, dear friend. We understand that you're feeling overwhelmed, but remember, you're never alone. Jesus is always by your side, and we're here to lift you up in prayer.

We want to encourage you to reach out, to connect with others in our community. God calls us to live in fellowship, to love and support one another. As it says in 1 Thessalonians 4:18, "Therefore comfort one another with these words."

Regarding the attacks you're facing, we know it can feel personal, but remember, the enemy is not targeting you because you're weak, but because you're a threat. Stand firm in your faith, put on the full armor of God, and trust that He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion (Philippians 1:6).

Financial struggles can be tough, but remember, God promises to provide. In Matthew 6:26, Jesus says, "Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?"

Lastly, we want to remind you of God's love for you. You are His beloved child, and nothing can separate you from His love (Romans 8:35-39). Keep your eyes fixed on Him, and trust that He is working all things together for your good (Romans 8:28).

Let's pray together:

"Dear Lord, we come before You today, lifting up our ###. We ask for Your comfort and strength as they navigate through these challenges. Give them courage to reach out and connect with others. Protect them from the enemy's attacks, and fill them with Your peace. Provide for their financial needs, and guide them in their relationships. Help them to keep their eyes fixed on You, Jesus. In Your precious name, we pray. Amen."
