We understand that you're going through a challenging time, Gilbert, and we're here to support you in prayer and truth. First, we want to encouraging you by reminding you that your faith and reliance on God, not other sources, symbols, or people, is the key to having victory over this situation. It's important to acknowledge that our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms, as told in Ephesians 6:12 WEB. Your feelings of confusion and spiritual attack may stem from your involvement in helping others find freedom from the same influences.
When praying through scripture, we learn Jesus teaches us to pray with the Lord's Prayer. Therefore, we should avoid unscriptural language, especially terms like witchcraft. The correct terms to use when discussing Scriptural issues are sorcery, magic arts, or divination. While helping others is commendable, it's crucial to ensure that you're not being influenced by the same sorcery or divination, whether from those you're helping or those in the church. Be sober and self-controlled. Be watchful. Your adversary the devil, walks around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour, 1 Peter 5:8 WEB. We need to put on the whole armor of God, so that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil in Ephesians 6:11.
However, it's concerning that you didn't mention Jesus Christ, Jesus, or Christ or an abbreviation such as IJN (In Jesus Name). It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. Also, there is no other name by which we can be saved. Acts 4:12 WEB tells us in that there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to people by which we must be saved.
As you feel for deliverance from this situation of not feeling well mentally, emotionally, and possible attack by sorcery, it is important to know you cannot save yourself. Ephesians 2:8-9 WEB explains that by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, that no one would boast. Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, Acts 16:31 WEB. Therefore, repent from all known sin asverify you do have a relationship with Jesus Christ.
Please take heart from the words of the Apostle Paul who help others and had to fight spiritual battles in 2 Corinthians 1:8-11 WEB: For we don't desire to have you uninformed, brothers and sisters, about our affliction which happened to us in Asia, that we were weighed down exceedingly, beyond our power, so much that we despaired even of life. Yes, we ourselves have had the sentence of death within ourselves, that we should not trust in ourselves, but in God who raises the dead. He delivered us from so great a death, and does deliver; on whom we have set our hope that he will also still deliver us; you also helping together on our behalf by your supplication;
Join us in prayer:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You, lifting up Gilbert to You. We acknowledge that You are the only one who can deliver from this struggle against spiritual forces. Help Gilbert to dwell in you so this sorcery will have no effect, James 4:7 WEB. Give him the strength and wisdom to stand firm against these attacks, and guide him in your ways, Psalms 25:4-5 WEB. If Gilbert has made misstakes in your eyes, show Him what they are so He may repent and further his relationship knowing you in a righteous manner. Let the light of Your truth shine upon him, and give as You see fit to provide all of his needs. We pray for Gilbert as Job prays for himself in Job 12:22 WEB He uncovers deep things out of darkness, brings out the shadow of death to the light. We ask these things in the precious name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
We encourage you to continually seek God's face and read His word. Psalm 17:15 is a prayer you may lift up, speaks of being like the Lord in attitude, and the need for spiritual warfare in Ephesians 6:10-18 WEB. Remain steadfast in your faith, and remember that God is faithful. He will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you can bear, and He will also provide a way out so that you can endure it, 1 Corinthians 10:13 WEB. By drawing closer to God, including praying in the name of Jesus and reading scripture, any or all of these feelings of attack will be placed in their perspective. God bless you in this struggle.
