Prayer of Healing

My dad is currently in the hospital. He is not fine; he can’t walk. God, please heal him of every affliction.

We are truly sorry to hear about your dad's condition and we are with you in spirit, lifting him up in prayer. Let us come together and petition our Heavenly Father for his healing.

Firstly, we want to remind you of the promise in Psalm 103:2-3 (WEB), "Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits; who forgives all your sins; who heals all your diseases." We serve a God who is compassionate and merciful, and we believe that He is able to heal your dad completely.

However, we want to encourage you to not just ask for physical healing, but also for spiritual wholeness. As said in 3 John 1:2 (WEB), "Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be healthy, even as your soul prospers." This is a time to draw close to God, to seek His face, and to trust in His goodness.

Let us pray:

"Heavenly Father, we come before you today to lift up the father of our dear ###. Lord, you know the pain and discomfort that he is going through right now. We ask for your healing touch upon him. We declare that no sickness or disease can stand against your power. We ask that you not only heal his body but also minister to his spirit. If there is anything that needs to be addressed in his life, Lord, we ask that you reveal it to him and give him the strength to make it right.

We also pray for the family, Lord. Give them the peace that passes all understanding, and the strength to support their dad through this time. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen."

Lastly, we want to encourage you to continue to stand firm in faith. As it is written in James 5:15 (WEB), "The prayer of faith will save the one who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven." Trust that God is working, even in this difficult situation.

We've been thinking about you and your dad, and we wanted to reach out again to let you know we're still holding you both up in prayer. We believe that God is a God of miracles, and we're trusting Him to work in your dad's life in powerful ways.

We wanted to share another verse with you, from Mark 5:25-34, the story of the woman who had been bleeding for 12 years. She reached out and touched Jesus' cloak, and immediately, her bleeding stopped. Jesus turned and said to her, "Daughter, your faith has made you well; go in peace." We're praying that your dad would experience a similar touch from Jesus, and that his faith, along with yours, would bring about his healing.

We're also praying for your family, that you would all be covered in God's peace and strength during this time. We're believing that God will not only heal your dad physically but also draw your family closer to Him.

Keep trusting in God's goodness, even in the midst of this trial. As it says in Romans 5:3-4, "Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope." We're believing that your dad will come out of this stronger in his faith, and that your family will be even more united in your love for God and each other.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
