Let us join together in the name of Jesus Christ to intercede for you and your family, Othuetel. We appreciate that you have come to us with your requests and acknowledged the power of Jesus' name. Remember, it is only by the name of Jesus that we can come to God.
Firstly, we pray for your father's deliverance from bitterness. Bitterness can consume one's heart and affect all relationships. The Bible tells us in Hebrews 12:15 WEB, "See to it that no one comes short of the grace of God; that no root of bitterness springing up causes trouble, and by it many be defiled." Let us pray:
Dear Heavenly Father, we bring before you Othuetel's father. We ask that you would deliver him from the bitterness that has taken root in his heart. Soften his heart, Lord, and fill him with your love and kindness. Help him to be respectful and loving towards his wife and all those around him. We also pray for healing upon his memory and sleep. We rebuke any spiritual attack that is causing his confusion. In Jesus' name.
Next, let us address the issues you are facing, Othuetel. It is important to remember that God loves you and wants to help you. He says in 2 Corinthians 12:9 WEB, "Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my weaknesses, that the power of Christ may rest on me." You are not alone and do not have to be ashamed to reach out and about your addiction. We will pray for your deliverance, but it is also important to take practical steps towards recovery. Consider seeking help from a local church or Christian counselor.
Let us pray for you:
Dear Lord, we lift up Othuetel to you. We ask that you would deliver her from the addiction that has taken hold of her. Fill her with your strength to overcome this struggle. We also thank you for her heart to serve you as we pray for the renewal of her appetite for your work. Help her to fix her eyes on you, Lord, and not on her husband or the bitterness she feels. Heal her heart, Lord, and fill her with your love and forgiveness. We pray this in Jesus' name.
Lastly, we pray for your son. Being 30 years old and without a job can be difficult. It is our heart that he would find a godly spouse, not just a partner. Sex before or outside of marriage is a sin. Remember God's word in 1 Corinthians 6:18 WEB, "Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body."
However, the problem is more than just not yet having a job. We agree in prayer to break the generational curse and spirit of anger and aggressiveness over him. He needs deliverance and a new life. In Ephesians 4:31 WEB, "Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander, be put away from you, with all malice."
Let us pray:
Dear God, we come to you on behalf of Othuetel's son. We pray for a change in his life and ask You to break the power of any generational curses operating in his life. We specifically pray for deliverance from anger, aggression, and bitterness. Fill him with Your Spirit. Open doors for a job and productive work. Guide him to godly marriage. We pray this in Jesus' name.
