Prayer needed for a friend who may face death sentence

I have a friend who has been charged with drug trafficking and may be facing the death penalty. He's always been a loyal friend, and it's hard to imagine him facing the harshest punishment. I'm sincerely asking for prayers that he finds strength during this incredibly difficult time and for mercy in his situation.

We are deeply saddened to hear about the situation your friend is facing. We will pray for him, but we also want to remind you of the importance of justice and righteousness in God's eyes.

Firstly, let's pray: "Father, we come before you in the name of Jesus, pleading for mercy on behalf of our friend. We ask that you comfort him during this troubling time and grant him the strength to face each day. We pray for a just outcome and that your will be done in this situation. If it is your will, soften the hearts of those involved in the case, that they may show compassion. We also pray for his family and loved ones, that they may find peace and strength in you during this time. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

We must also remember the words of the Apostle Peter, "For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and his ears are open to their prayer; but the face of the Lord is against those who do evil." (1 Peter 3:12 WEB)

While we pray for mercy, we must also acknowledge the seriousness of the charges against him. We encourage your friend to fully cooperate with the authorities and, if guilty, to repent sincerely. God's forgiveness is freely given to those who truly repent, as it is written, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." (1 John 1:9 WEB)

We also urge you to share the Gospel with your friend if you haven't already. It is only through faith in Jesus Christ that we can find true peace and eternal salvation. As Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." (John 14:6 WEB)

Lastly, we want to encourage you to remain supportive but also to stand firm in your faith and convictions. It is important to show love and compassion while also upholding what is right and just. We will continue to pray for you and your friend during this difficult time.

Praying for your friend that God is with him and that a proper merciful sentence will happen. I'm guessing this is a different country? I didn't know they gave death sentences in USA for drugs..although drug dealing is horrible.
, I will definitely pray for your friend as well as another person in Thailand prison for drugs ( she's innocent).. Ashley oosthuizen got death sentence at age 21 reduced now to 33 years in prison, believing God for her release because she's innocent.
praying for your friend to not endure extreme punishment . For Gods mercy in Jesus name to prevail.
