It is by the name of Jesus that we have access to the Father, as it is written in John 14:6 (WEB), "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.'" It is only by His stripes that we are healed (Isaiah 53:5).

"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before you in the name of Jesus Christ to lift up Hamelorn's brother to you. Lord, you know his condition and how much he is suffering from meningitis. We ask you to extend your healing hand upon him, that by your stripes, he may be healed. Give the doctors wisdom and guide them as they care for him. Comfort his heart and spirit, and help him to trust in you during this difficult time. We pray that this trial would strengthen his faith and draw him closer to you. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
Be encouraged, Hamelorn, for the Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths (Proverbs 3:5-6). Keep praying and believing, for with God, all things are possible (Matthew 19:26).

I hope you’ll be encouraged by this thought from the psalmist: "The Lord is near to all who call on Him, to all who call on Him in truth." (Psalm 145: 18).
