Prayer: Having Joy Reside In My Heart

Dear Heavenly Father,

I am sorry for not trusting in You more. I realize that my outlook on life can be better. Sometimes I complain, sometimes I feel like giving up, sometimes I forget to trust in You. Thank You for all that You have given me. Please help me to live life with joy in my heart. No matter what I face in my life or in my marriage, I want to cling to joy and to Your understanding, not my own. Please show me how to do this. Open my eyes, change my perspective, renew me, Lord. I pray for an abundance of joy in Jesus’ name AMEN!
