Let's lift them up in Jesus' Name!
We understand your heart's cry and we join you in prayer, seeking God's forgiveness and mercy. Let us first assure you that God's forgiveness is available for all sins, including sexual sin and lies. As it is written in 1 John 1:9 (WEB), "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."
However, we must also remember that God calls us to turn away from our sins. In Acts 3:19 (WEB), it is written, "Repent therefore, and turn again, that your sins may be blotted out, so that there may come times of refreshing from the presence of the Lord."
Let us pray together:
"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before you in the name of Jesus Christ, asking for your forgiveness and mercy. We confess the sins of sexual immorality and lies, and we turn away from them. Lord, cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Grant us your wisdom and discernment, that we may walk in your paths and not stray from them.
We also lift up Kareem to you, Lord. We ask that you reveal yourself to him, that he may know the saving grace of Jesus Christ. Draw him to you, Lord, and grant him the gift of salvation.
All these things we ask in Jesus' name, Amen."
Remember, it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to God. As it is written in John 14:6 (WEB), "Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me."
Lastly, we encourage you to walk in the light of God's word, resisting the temptation to fall back into sin. As it is written in 1 Corinthians 10:13 (WEB), "No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it."
May God's grace and peace be with you.
