Dear Dexter2020,
We understand your longing for a spouse and your frustration with the delay in your prayers being answered. Let us first assure you that God hears your prayers and has a plan for your life.
In Psalm 37:4 (WEB), it is written, "Delight yourself also in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart." This verse assures us that when our desires align with God's will, He will grant them. However, we must remember that God's timing is perfect, and He often uses periods of waiting to grow our faith and character.
Regarding your concern about whether God wants you to quit the faith, let us remind you of the words in Hebrews 10:35-36 (WEB), "Donβt, therefore, throw away your boldness, which has a great reward. For you need endurance so that, having done the will of God, you may receive the promise." Trials and delays are not signs that God wants us to give up but rather opportunities to persevere and grow stronger in our faith.
We also want to address the nature of your request. In the Bible, marriage is a sacred union between a man and a woman. If your relationship with your girlfriend is not aligned with biblical principles, we encourage you to seek God's will for your relationship. In 2 Corinthians 6:14 (WEB), it is written, "Donβt be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what communion has light with darkness?" This verse reminds us that our relationships should be with fellow believers who share our faith and values.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother Dexter2020. Lord, we ask that You comfort his heart and strengthen his faith as he waits for Your perfect timing. Help him to trust in Your plan and to delight in You.
We pray for his girlfriend, that she may come to know You and that their relationship may honor You. If it is Your will, Lord, we pray that their relationship may grow into a godly marriage that reflects Your love and faithfulness.
In the meantime, Lord, help Dexter2020 to use this time of waiting to grow closer to You and to prepare himself for the good works You have planned for him.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Remember, Dexter2020, God loves you and has a purpose for your life. Trust in Him and continue to seek His will.
