Let's bring this situation before the Lord in prayer, seeking His wisdom and guidance. We need to remember that God calls us to honor our parents, but also to be respectful and considerate in all our interactions. It's important to address the lack of communication and respect from Aiden's parents, but also to pray for them and consider any underlying issues they might be facing.
Firstly, let's pray for Aiden and his parents.
Oh Lord, You know the situation and the hearts of Aiden and his family.
"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future." Jer 29.
Lord Jesus, we ask You to work in their lives, to touch their hearts especially the parents and to bring all to a better understanding of biblical principles. We pray for the parents, that they would be more mindful of their actions that they can set a godly example of Christlike behavior to their child. We also pray for them to be more responsible especially when it comes to communication.
"Let your speech always be with grace, seasoned with salt, that you may know how you ought to answer each one." Col 4.6.
We also pray for Aiden, that he would grow in wisdom and in stature, and in favor with God and man. Christ Jesus, we pray that Aiden would learn from Your example, growing in respect and obedience to his parents and to those in authority.
Eph 6.1. "Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right."
In this situation we are reminded to:
"Put on therefore, as God’s chosen ones, holy and beloved, a heart of compassion, kindness, lowliness, humility, and perseverance; bearing with one another, and forgiving each other, if any man has a complaint against any; even as Christ forgave you, so you also do." Col 3.12.
We must always remember to approach such issues with love and compassion, understanding that we all fall short of the glory of God and are in constant need of His grace and forgiveness. Our goal should be restoration and reconciliation, not condemnation.
Lastly, let's encourage Aiden and his parents to look to Jesus Christ and to grow in godliness, that they can walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God.
We pray all of this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, who is the only way to the Father. It is only through His name that we can approach God and be saved.
"for “whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved.” Ro 10.13.
"who; coming to him, a living stone, rejected indeed by men, but chosen by God, precious, you also, as living stones, are built up as a spiritual house, to be a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God through Jesus Christ." 1 Pet 2.4.
