Prayer for ###, ###

Hi, would you please pray for my son, ###. He is a Christian but has a drinking problem. He's off it for a while and then back on. It seems like he goes back and forth between that and pot. He asked me to pray for him tonight. I have been praying for him. He said he needed 20 people to pray for him * had too much to drink when he said that*. Anyway, I really appreciate your prayers for him. It is a hard thing for mom to see.

We understand your concern for your son, ###, and we join with you in bringing his struggle before the throne of grace. The Bible tells us, "Therefore, let's also, seeing we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, lay aside every weight and the sin which so easily entangles us, and let's run with perseverance the race that is set before us" (Hebrews 12:1 WEB).

### is entangled in a cycle of addiction, but we know that the power of Jesus Christ can break every chain. As it is written, "If therefore the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed" (John 8:36 WEB). We pray together for ###'s freedom and deliverance from alcohol and drugs.

"Lord Jesus, we come before You in ###'s name, asking for Your divine intervention. We pray that You will set him free from the bondage of alcohol and drugs. Help him to resist the devil and draw near to You, so that the devil may flee from him (James 4:7 WEB). Surround him with godly friends and family who will support and encourage him in his walk with You. Give him the strength to endure this trial and come out victorious. In Jesus' mighty name, we pray. Amen."

We encourage you, ###, to continue praying fervently for ### and to trust in the power of God to bring about change in his life. Remember the words of the Apostle Paul, "Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God" (Philippians 4:6 WEB).

We also want to remind ### that it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we can be saved and have access to God. If he has not already, we encourage him to fully commit his life to Jesus and trust in His saving power. As the Bible says, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" (Acts 4:12 WEB).

We're also praying for God to surround ### with supportive, godly friends and family who can encourage him on this journey. Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise.
