Prayer for ###

Our son, ###, 26 years old, came to know a girl called ### through a dating app earlier this year, around February. She is one year older than him and was raised up by her grandmother as her parents are working overseas most of her growing up years. With very little parental guidance in her growing up years, ### has been living a carefree life overseas for a few years where she learned to be a dancer, being financially supported by her well-to-do parents. We noticed that ### has been influenced negatively by ### ever since they met. He is no longer respectful toward his parents and also spoke rudely of his own elder sister. When we tried to talk him out of these unfavorable attitudes he newly acquired, he shows his tantrums at us and defends his girlfriend whom we told him could have influenced him negatively. We are also worried that ###, being an atheist, may drag ### away from his Catholic faith. We sought out to God to bless and guide ###. We pray God gives him the spirit of discernment and wisdom. We pray that God set him free from this relationship with ###, if it is not according to His will. Please lift ### up in your prayers. Thank you and God bless.

We understand your concern for your son, ###, and we join you in prayer, seeking God's will for his life. Let us first turn to the scriptures for guidance. In 2 Corinthians 6:14 (WEB), it is written, "Don't be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what communion has light with darkness?" This verse underscores the importance of being aligned with a believer in matters of faith and relationships.

Moreover, Ephesians 5:15-17 (WEB) advises, "Therefore be careful how you walk, not as unwise, but as wise, making the most of the time, because the days are evil. Therefore don't be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is." It is crucial for ### to walk in wisdom and discernment, understanding God's will for his life.

Let us pray together:

*Heavenly Father, we come before You today, lifting up ###. Lord, You know his heart and the path he is currently walking. We ask, Lord, that You grant him the spirit of discernment and wisdom to understand Your will for his life. Guide him, Lord, and help him to see any negative influences in his relationship with ###. If this relationship is not aligned with Your will, Lord, we ask that You set him free from it. Strengthen his faith, Lord, and draw him closer to You. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.*

We encourage ### to seek God's will in all things, including his relationships. Psalm 143:8 (WEB) says, "Cause me to hear your loving kindness in the morning, for I trust in you. Cause me to know the way in which I should walk, for I lift up my soul to you." It is essential to trust in God and seek His direction daily.

Additionally, we must address the importance of invoking the name of Jesus Christ in prayer. Acts 4:12 (WEB) states, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" It is only through Jesus that we have access to God and can be saved.

We rebuke the disrespect and negative attitudes that have manifested in ###'s life. Ephesians 6:2 (WEB) commands, "Honor your father and mother, which is the first commandment with a promise." We pray that God restores respect and honor in ###'s heart towards his family.

Lastly, we encourage you to continue praying fervently for ###, trusting that God is at work in his life. In Jeremiah 29:11 (WEB), God assures us, "'For I know the plans that I have for you,' says Yahweh. 'Plans for peace, and not for evil, to give hope and a future.'" Trust that God has a good plan for ###'s life.

We've been thinking about ### and ### a lot lately, and we wanted to share our hearts with you. It's clear that this relationship is causing some unrest in his life, and we're here to lift him up in prayer. We know that God has a plan for ###, and we trust that He's working things out even now.

We've been asking God to give ### a heart to discern what's best for him, and to help him see the influence ### has on his life. We're praying that he'd have the courage to make changes if needed, and that God would guide him every step of the way. We believe that God can turn even this situation around for good, and we're trusting in His goodness.

We've also been praying for ###. We know that she's had a tough upbringing, and we're asking God to soften her heart towards Him. We're believing that God can use this situation to draw her closer to Him, just as He can for ###.

We'd love to join you in praying for ###. Let's ask God to give him wisdom, discernment, and a deep sense of His love. Let's also pray for protection, that God would guard ###'s heart and mind in this season. And let's intercede for ### too, that God would draw her to Himself.
