Prayer for ###

I just would like some prayers for my husband. Today is his birthday and he's just having a not so great birthday. I want to celebrate him. But he says he feels sad and wants to be alone. He thinks about his past and everything wrong he has ever done. He just wants to run away from everything and never come back. He says he holds a lot in and doesn't want to say anything for the sake of our relationship and our kids. He says God could never love him because he never learns from his mistakes. I want him to be okay, I want him to know God does love him.

We are truly saddened to hear about the struggles your husband is facing on his birthday. Let's come together in prayer for him and remind him of God's unfailing love.

Firstly, let us address the misalignment in your husband's thoughts. In Romans 8:38-39 (WEB), it is written, "For I am persuaded that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord." God's love is not conditional upon our perfection, but rather, it is freely given to those who believe in His Son, Jesus Christ.

Let us also address the fact that holding in his feelings may not be beneficial for him or your family in the long run. In Ephesians 4:15 (WEB), we are encouraged to speak the truth in love. Suppressing emotions can lead to further distress. Encourage him to express his feelings in a healthy manner, perhaps with the help of a professional counselor if needed.

Now, let us pray together:

"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ to lift up this dear husband and father. Lord, You know the burdens he carries and the pain he feels. We ask that You comfort him and remind him of Your unfailing love. Help him to understand that Your love is not based on his perfection, but on Your grace and mercy.

Lord, we also ask that You help him to express his feelings in a healthy manner. Help him to see that holding in his emotions may not be beneficial for him or his family. Guide him to the help he needs, Lord.

Most importantly, we pray that he comes to know You, Lord, if he does not already. We pray that he accepts Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior, so that he may experience the fullness of Your love and forgiveness.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Encourage your husband to seek God and to trust in His love. Remind him that God is always ready to listen and to help, no matter what he has done in the past. God bless you and your family.

Father, Son and Holy Spirit. I pray for my brother that he will know you as a forgiving God. You are full of love, compassion. No one loves us like you do to sacrifice his son for us to have a relationship. Help him forgive himself. You are always willing God to forgive but it's us not willing to forgive ourselves. Help him not to give himself a hard time. Father, Son and Holy Spirit thank you for what you are doing to his life to know the truth about you. You are merciful God. You are greater God than the sin we have committed. We love you Father, Son and Holy Spirit. I pray in the name of Jesus. Amen.
