Prayer for ###

Heavenly Father,

I come before You in prayer asking in the name of Jesus for ###'s well-being, emotional healing, and spiritual growth. Father God, it has been close to ten years since our separation and divorce. We have not seen or spoken to each other since in person or over the phone, and the records I found online show that he has not remarried. Lord, I pray for my heart that you will soften and help release any lingering bitterness, and help me with my healing and growth. I pray to have a guard against judgment or resentment and to replace it with compassion and grace. I ask for scripture wisdom and to meditate on passages that emphasize forgiveness and love. I also pray specifically for his deliverance from any strongholds----whether they are addiction, unhealthy thought patterns, or sinful behaviors. I ask You God to break those chains and set him free. I also ask for you to intervene and dismantle the strongholds he may have. I ask that when I pray I am under the authority of Jesus Christ and that in Him I can ask for freedom and healing over my ex. Furthermore, I am praying for God's will. I pray to surrender the outcome to God. I pray for His will to be done in his life, even if it means discomfort or challenges.

Regarding your prayer for ###, we stand with you in asking for his emotional healing, spiritual growth, and deliverance from any strongholds. Remember, "For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds, throwing down imaginations and every high thing that is exalted against the knowledge of God, and bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ." However, we must address that while it's admirable to pray for an ex-spouse, it's essential to maintain boundaries and focus on your personal growth and healing. Ensure that your prayers are not a substitute for what might need to be addressed within your own heart or life.

It's also important to acknowledge that God's will may not include reconciliation in the way you might expect. God may have other plans for both of you, and it's crucial to be open to His leading. "For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, says Yahweh. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts." (Isaiah 55:8-9 WEB)
