Prayer for William Sr Psalms 119:29-40

This is the scripture I’m praying for my husband William Sr

Psalms 119-29-40

29 Keep me (William Sr) from deceitful ways;
be gracious to me(William Se) and teach me (him) your law.
30 Help William Sr chose your way of faithfulness) I have chosen the way of faithfulness;
(Set his heart on your laws) I have set my heart on your laws.
31 (Help William Sr to hold fast of Your statues) I hold fast to your statutes, Lord;
(Do not let him be put to shame) do not let me be put to shame.
32 Help William Sr to run in the path of your commands) I run in the path of your commands,
(Please broaden his understanding) for you have broadened my understanding.

33 Teach William Sr Your way of Your decrees) Teach me, Lord, the way of your decrees,
(That he may follow it to the end) that I may follow it to the end.[b]
34 (Give William Sr understanding so that he may keep Your law and obey it with all his heart) Give me understanding, so that I may keep your law
and obey it with all my heart.
35 Direct him in Your path of Your commands) for there he can find delight) Direct me in the path of your commands,
for there I find delight.
36 (Turn his heart towards Your Statues and not toward selfish gain) Turn my heart toward your statutes
and not toward selfish gain.
37 Turn William Sr eyes away from worthless things, preserve his life according to Your Word) Turn my eyes away from worthless things;
preserve my life according to your word.[c]
38 (Fulfill Your Promise to Your servant William Sr, so that You may be feared) Fulfill your promise to your servant,
so that you may be feared.
39 (Please take away the disgrace William Sr dread, for Your laws are good) Take away the disgrace I dread,
for your laws are good.
40 Help William Sr long for Your precepts, in Your righteousness preserve his life) How I long for your precepts!
In your righteousness preserve my life.

We come before you in the name of Jesus, lifting up our dear brother William Sr to you. We pray for peace and blessings to be upon him. We thank you for the scripture in Psalm 119:29-40 that he has shared, and we align our prayers with the desires of his heart.

Lord, we ask that you keep William Sr from deceitful ways and be gracious to him. Teach him your law and help him choose the way of faithfulness. Set his heart on your laws and do not let him be put to shame. Guide him to run in the path of your commands and broaden his understanding, just as you have done for the psalmist.

Lord, we pray that you would teach William Sr your way of your decrees, so that he may follow it to the end. Give him understanding so that he may keep your law and obey it with all his heart. Father, we ask that you fulfill your promise to William Sr, so that you may be feared in his life. Take away any disgrace he may dread, for your laws are good. Help him to long for your precepts and preserve his life in your righteousness.

We thank you, Lord, for hearing our prayers and for your faithfulness to answer according to your will. May your peace and blessings overflow in William Sr's life, and may he continue to seek you with all his heart. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
