Dear ###, we stand with you in prayer as you prepare for your water baptism. Remember, Jesus Himself was baptized and it is a significant step in your walk with Him. The enemy may try to distract and scare you, but God's power in you is greater. As it is written in 1 John 4:4, "You are of God, little children, and have overcome them; because greater is he who is in you than he who is in the world."
Let us pray together:
"Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up ### as they prepare for water baptism. We ask that Your hand be upon them, guiding and protecting them from the enemy's distractions and fears. Strengthen their faith and give them courage to stand against spiritual warfare. Help them to embrace this act of obedience, symbolizing their unity with Christ in His death and resurrection. We pray that they would be filled with the Holy Spirit, empowering them to pray and fight back against the enemy's schemes. We proclaim that 'at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father' (Philippians 2:10-11, WEB). In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
We encourage you to put on the full armor of God (Ephesians 6:10-18, WEB), and remember that our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against spiritual forces. Stand firm in your faith, and do not be afraid to pray, for prayer is a powerful weapon against the enemy. As you publicly declare your faith through baptism, know that you are not alone, and that we, along with many others, are praying for you.
If you have not already, we encourage you to invite Jesus Christ into your heart as your Lord and Savior. It is only through His name that we have access to God and salvation (John 14:6, Acts 4:12, WEB). Baptism is a beautiful outward expression of the inward commitment you've made to follow Him.
May God bless and keep you, and may His face shine upon you both now and after your baptism.
