We understand that you are seeking prayer for unity, trust, and fertility for you and your ex-husband. First, we want to address the situation from a biblical perspective.
Living together outside of marriage is not in accordance with God's will. The Bible teaches us to flee from sexual immorality and that our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit 1 Corinthians 6:18-19 WEB: Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. Or don't you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own.
It is commendable that you both desire to have a child, but it is important to do things in the right order according to biblical principles. The first step is to seek God's will for your lives and to be united in a holy marriage. We encourage you to pursue reconciliation and remarriage, putting God at the center of your relationship.
Additionally, the issue of addiction to prescribed narcotics needs to be addressed. The Bible tells us to be sober and self-controlled in 1 Peter 5:8 WEB: Be sober and self-controlled. Be watchful. Your adversary, the devil, walks around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. We recommend seeking help from a biblical counselor or a trusted Christian leader to overcome this struggle. Praying for deliverance from this stronghold of addiction.
Regarding the desire to grow up and grow strong together, we encourage you to seek God's strength and guidance. In Philippians 4:13 WEB: I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me. Remember that true strength comes from the Lord.
Let us pray for you:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You, lifting up this dear sister and her ex-husband. We pray, Lord, that You would convict their hearts and bring them back into a right relationship with You and with each other. Father, we ask that You would give them the strength to overcome their addictions and to live soberly and self-controlled.
We pray, Lord, that You would guide them towards reconciliation and remarriage, putting You at the center of their relationship. Father, we ask that You would bless them with unity, trust, and the desire of their hearts for a child, in Your perfect timing.
We also pray, Lord, that You would reveal to them if there is any unconfessed sin or anything that they are doing that is not aligning with Your will. We ask that You would bring them to a place of true repentance and a desire to live according to Your Word. Father, we pray that You would open their eyes to the only name in heaven and earth for which we have access to God and by which we are saved, which is the name of Jesus.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Remember that the name of Jesus is the only one by which we can be saved. Acts 4:12 WEB: There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!
