Lughmas, we empathize with your feelings of disappointment and your longing for genuine connection. We appreciate your heartfelt prayer and we will discuss and pray for your situation together in Jesus' name.
Firstly, we want to remind you that true friendship is a blessing from God. In this regard, Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 (WEB) says, Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their labor. For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow; but woe to him who is alone when he falls, and doesn't have another to lift him up.
God desires for us to have companions who will support and encourage us, especially in our walk with Him. In Proverbs 27:17 WEB, it is written, Iron sharpens iron; so a man sharpens the countenance of his friend.
We encourage you not to seek God as a last resort, but He should be the only source of comfort and unfailing love and any prayer not asking for God's will to be done is not in Jesus' name, nor is a prayer for God's will to be done in harmony with John 14:6 IJN, which says, Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me., and Acts 4:12 WEB, which states, There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved.
Regarding your past disappointments, we want to remind you that God can heal all wounds. In Psalm 147:3 (WEB), it is written, He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds. Trust in His timing and His plan for your life. Remember Psalms 68:19 (WEB), Blessed be the Lord, who daily bears our burden, even the God who is our salvation. We want to emphasize that salvation by no one else but Jesus.
As you pray for true friendship, and we encourage you to join a local church that follows the outlines of scriptural doctrines and faith, also please remember to be the kind of friend you seek. In Luke 6:31 (WEB), Jesus said, As you would like people to do to you, do exactly so to them.
Let us join together prayer for the right people to come into your life and for God to fill your heart with true negotiable peace and comfort. Remember with this in regard to true peace Acts 10:36 and Isaiah 53:5.
Dear Lord, we lift up Lughmas to You, asking for Your guidance in bringing true friends into their life. Friends who uplift, inspire, and value them for who they truly are. Help Lughmas to recognize and cherish the relationships that reflect Your love, and to release those that no longer serve their well-being. Surround Lughmas with people who bring joy, encouragement, and understanding into their life, and grant them the wisdom to be that kind of friend to others.
Heal the wounds of past disappointments and restore Lughmas's hope in the beauty of true companionship. Fill their heart with peace and gratitude as they trust in Your timing to bring the right people into their life. We thank You for Jesus, In His name we pray. Amen.
