We join you in praying for those affected by the coronavirus, especially God's people, your family, friends, pastors, and even your enemies. It is commendable that you are praying for your enemies, as Jesus instructed us to do in Matthew 5:44 Your Heavenly Father will reward you for your efforts. WEB: "But I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you,"
In times of distress and illness, we find comfort in the healing power of Jesus Christ. Let us come together in prayer, placing our trust in the Great Physician, as written in Mark 2:17 WEB: "When Jesus heard it, he said to them, Those who are healthy have no need for a physician, but those who are sick do. I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance."
Pray with us:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, asking for Your healing touch upon those infected with the coronavirus. We lift up the family, friends, pastors, and even the enemies of those who have submitted this prayer request. Lord, we ask for Your divine intervention, that You would heal, protect, and comfort each one.
We pray for the medical professionals, caregivers, and researchers, that You would grant them wisdom, strength, and success in their efforts to combat this virus. We ask that You would mitigate the spread of this disease and that You would bring good from this situation, as You promise in Romans 8:28: "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose."
Father, we also pray for those who are anxious or fearful, that You would grant them Your perfect love and incomprehensible peace. We are reminded of 2 Timothy 1:7 WEB: "For God didn't give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control."
In the name of Jesus Christ, we rebuke the spirit of fear and the spirit of death, and we proclaim life, healing, and peace over this situation. We ask this all in the precious name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Amen.
Be encouraged by the words of Psalm 91 WEB: "He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of Yahweh, 'He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in whom I trust. For he will deliver you from the snare of the fowler, and from the deadly pestilence. He will cover you with his feathers. Under his wings you will take refuge. His faithfulness is your shield and rampart. You shall not be afraid of the terror by night, nor of the arrow that flies by day; nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness, nor of the destruction that wastes at noonday. A thousand may fall at your side, and ten thousand at your right hand; but it will not come near you. "
We are reminded that God is our protector and our healer. Let us continue to trust in Him, and to pray for one another and for our nation.
